GARFIELD — Robert Wayne Moon, was born on Jan. 21, 1931, son of James Madison Moon and Effie Jane (Baker) Moon. He passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, June 29, 2018, at 87 years of age.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. He was a skilled carpenter throughout his lifetime. He attended Beaver Lake Baptist Church for 45-plus years. He loved playing his guitar and singing.

On March 27, 1954, he was united in marriage to June Sybleleen (Harley) Moon, who survives him.

He is survived by his sons, Jerry Moon and wife Debbie, Alan Moon and wife Patty; daughters, Joy Amann and husband Butch, Jane Foster, Paula Moon; 15 grandchild­ren; 17 great-grandchild­ren; sisters, Wanda Sellars, Joyce Catron, Erma Helms and her husband Bob, Bonnie Sheppard; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Paul Moon; his sisters Edith Pollock, Carolyn Mahurin, Becky Skidmore and Mildred Kavanagh.

Visitation was Monday, July 2, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Nelson’s Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs. Funeral service was 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the Beaver Lake Baptist Church in Eureka Springs, with Pastor Mike Mercer officiatin­g. Interment will follow at the Reddick Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.

ROGERS — Doyle “Gwannie” LeGwannie Dixon, 75, husband of 47 years to Geraldine Hopkins Dixon, entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Jefferson Hospital in Louisville, Ga.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Avera, Ga., with Rev. Bill Seaman officiatin­g.

Other survivors include children Barry Chalker (LaDonna), Angela Sebastian (John), and Melisa Dixon; four siblings, Loyce Dixon (Marilyn), Keith Dixon (Wanda), Delaine Oglesby (R.C.) and David Dixon (T.J.); seven grandchild­ren and seven great-grandchild­ren.

PINEVILLE, Mo. — James Franklin Pearce died at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark., on July 12, 2018. James was born on Nov. 20, 1932. COLCORD, Okla. — Wade Rosco McMahan, 74, of Colcord, Okla., died July 11, 2018, in Siloam Springs, Ark. WAXAHACHIE, Texas — Jona Lee Gorman, 75, of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 21, 1943, in Springdale, Ark.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse E. Gorman of Waxahachie; her sons, Anthony J. Gorman of Midlothian, Edwin Bryan Gorman of Waxahachie; her daughter, Jessica Leigh Branden of Red Oak; her brothers, Chuck Macy of Marrow, Ark., Jackie Macy of Hawaii, William Daryl Reeves of Seligman, Mo., Bobby Eugene Reeves of Springdale, Ark., and Tommy Francis Reeves of Defumiak Springs, Fla.; her sisters, Lula Blanch Eldridge of Springdale, Ark., Sharin K. Macy-Harrison of Springdale, Ark., and Willene Ross O’Donnell of Springdale, Ark.; her grandchild­ren, Dakota and Taylor Tole, Adam, Eden and Steven Watson, Patrick, David and Niki Sims; she also is survived by five great-grandchild­ren and two great-great-grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Frankie Theodore Macy, Jimmy Carl Macy; and her sister, Wanda Sue Macy-Smith.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Red Oak with Pastor Jared Douglas officiatin­g.
