GRANT BROWN GREENBRIER
Grant Brown has not had much spare time during the last three years.
Brown graduated from Greenbrier with the highest honors while participating in three sports and running his own business during the summer. The young entrepreneur plans to major in mechanical engineering at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville starting this fall.
“It’s really been busy for me, especially during the summer,” Brown said. “I’ve had to work out for three sports and maintain a job all at the same time.”
Brown established Lawn Dawgs Yard Service during the summer after his freshman year.
“I needed money and I couldn’t get a job so I decided to make my own job and make my own hours,” Brown said. “I had an extra lawn mower and I got together with a
couple of friends.
“I started with two helping me and now I have four.”
Brown says he plans to continue the business through college.
Brown said he became interested in mechanical engineering because of his grandfather — David Vanderslice.
Brown will continue his athletic career in college. The two-time all-state football player is scheduled to be a slot receiver for the Wonder Boys this fall.
Brown caught 46 passes for 484 yards and 5 touchdowns for the Panthers in 2017.
