It’s up to GOP lawmakers to save the United States

-

The all-day grilling of Agent Strzok was no doubt, as Trump would say, a witch hunt by the GOP side of the aisle. Chairman Gowdy showed how biased he was and every one of the GOP lawmakers were relentless wanting Agent Strzok to give them information that would taint the Robert Mueller investigation. And they are accusing Strzok of being biased? I ask this: What has happened to the Republican Party? I’m a Democrat and I admit I don’t stand where they stand on the issues, but before Trump, the GOP and Dems cared about the United States and our democracy. The GOP congressmen only asked a handful of questions about the Russian investigation and, from what I saw, the panel on the GOP side doesn’t care about what the Russians did to our election. Thew were more worried about winners, Hillary’s emails and why Mueller didn’t investigate those emails? What does that have to do with Strzok’s so-called bias against Trump? And the texts they put their big show on for? This American can see the GOP has lost its way and will do anything to protect Trump, even as far as to bring down our democracy. For the GOP party not to insist that Trump take a team with him when he met Putin? The Republicans, every one of the lawmakers protecting the president, are as guilty as Trump is. Why would lawmakers let Trump speak to Putin one on one? That, to me, finds him guilty on all charges and gives Trump the ability to make his own story up, just like he did with North Korea I hope Robert Mueller — if he has any information on how Trump and Putin has collaborated in business, our election or anything — will start the process of getting this unworthy man out of the White House before he does any more damage to our United States. And when I say “our,” I mean Republicans and Democrats. GOP lawmakers, it’s up to you to save our country. You have the numbers to do it and that would bring our country back together again. And if you don’t, then shame on you.
