Supporters sip, savor
The fourth annual “Sip, Savor and Support” to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Benton County on Aug. 23 at Record in Bentonville will help pave the way to more offerings for more kids. Proceeds will help support the Benton County group’s four campuses and children in five school districts offering affordable after-school, summer and athletic programs.
The group’s mission is to enable “all young people — especially those who need us most — to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.”
Sabrina Rampy, director of development, said the organization recently received funding through the Arkansas Department of Education for a 21st Century Grant that will support after-school programs available to the students at Lingle Middle School in Rogers. The Clubs are looking to open the site in August.
The tasting event will feature food from local restaurants and caterers; beer, wine, cocktails; live music; and an opportunity to
vote for favorite food and drink vendors. Vendors include Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant, Midici Neapolotin Pizza Co., Bentonville Brewing Co., Bonefish Grill, Gallo Wines, Hershey, Levi’s Gastrolounge and Low Bar, Lost Forty Brewing, Mizkan, Ozark Beer Co. and Tazikis Mediterranean Cafe.
Premium individual tickets are $50 and include a reserved seat, full access to food stations and full bar. Premium couple tickets are $90. Sponsorships are available.
