OZARK — Crops in this section are practically a total loss, due to the long drouth. The hay crop harvested in this county three months ago, is the only stock fodder that has been raised. The pastures are worthless, and cotton will not make a 40 percent crop. Though the bolls are opening, they are very small and many of them contain nothing, Farmers are selling their hogs and shipping them to Kansas City because of the corn shortage. Hill and Jeffers shipped 210 head of cattle to St. Louis Tuesday and realized a good price.
