Cracks in the analysis

A message to letter writer Doug Morris: I am a liberal thinker (progressive is the better word, I think) who has begrudgingly accepted the fact that Donald Trump is the president. My retirement funds are benefiting from a market drunk with corporate profiteering fueled by huge tax cuts and resultant stock buybacks. As a shareholder I am a beneficiary. So according to you, your comments were not addressed to me.

I have to take umbrage with your assertions, however, because in fact, I detest Donald Trump. And no “liberal media” anywhere was required to formulate that opinion. Furthermore, I am no fan of Hillary Clinton; had John Kasich been on the ballot, I probably would have voted for him.

Mr. Morris, I needed only my eyes and ears to formulate my opinion of this president, for I see in Trump a man bent on dividing the country and exercising his ego and pathological narcissism to personal end whenever and wherever the opportunity presents. His lies are documented on a daily basis for all to see while his lack of respect for the office and those who have held it speak to a low moral fiber never before seen in a president of our great country.

Maybe I fall somewhere in the cracks of your analysis of the liberal mindset. I guess you could say that for us, class and integrity trumps wealth and arrogance every time. DANE BUXBAUM Little Rock
