THE SKINNY First-year coach Casey Dick is experienced in building projects. The former Arkansas quarterback was on the staff at Bentonville West and helped the Wolverines become a title contender in just two short seasons. … Dick has brought in solid coordinators in Crosby Tuck and Kenneth Chick, the later from Greenwood where he was part of multiple state titles. Tuck has been a coordinator at Shiloh Christian and Pea Ridge. … The Pointers have not made the playoffs since 2011. … Christian Morrow is back to lead the team at quarterback and Gary Phillips, a sophomore, will also take snaps, Dick said. … Of the Pointers’ 10 losses in 2017, three were by seven points or less. … TE Logan Humphreys will offer a big target in the passing game, and athlete Landry Wilkerson will line up in a number of positions. COACH SPEAK “They’re doing a good job of figuring out what we’re trying to tell them to do. The last couple of weeks have been pretty big for us as far as figuring out things fundamentally.
