HARRISON — Joyce Ellen Darnaby, age 75, of Harrison, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018. Funeral is 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home; visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home. Interment is in Gass Cemetery. LINCOLN — JD Hensley, age 71, a resident of Lincoln, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le, Ark. He was born July 12, 1947, in Newport, Ark., the son of Jay and Christine (Barnes) Hensley.

JD retired from Ball Corp after 35 years of service. He loved fishing, hunting, boating, camping and fixing computers. He loved his wife and kids dearly. He was a hard working man, always willing to help his loved one with whatever they needed. He was a fighter and had battled with health problems for the past eight years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothy. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Sheila Hensley; two sons, Scott Hensley and wife Amber of Lincoln and Jeff Hensley and wife Keeley of Springdale; two daughters, Loretta Brown of Anderson, Ind., and Amber Lynn Moss and husband William of West Fork; 12 grandchild­ren, Angel Brown, Donnie Brown, Cherish Moss, Ronnie Moss, Neigel Moss, Autumn Rae Moss, Adam Hensley, Andrew Hensley, Aaron Hensley, Alex Hensley, Day Lynn Hensley and Michael Hensley and eight great-grandchild­ren.

The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, 6-7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. LOWELL — Billy Vernon Whaley of Lowell, Ark., passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018. He was born on Dec. 7, 1945, in Cotton Plant, Ark.

Bill was a retired electricia­n and a Baptist minister. He was a deacon at the Sunnyside Baptist in Rogers, Ark. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernie and Melvenia Whaley and one sister, Brenda Whaley. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Whaley of Lowell, Ark.; three daughters, Tina Rivera (Rene) of McKinney, Texas, Machelle Raby (Tony) of Bauxite, Ark., and Kim Schneider (Jason) of St. Peters, Mo., one son, Bradley Whaley (Kristy) of Springdale, Ark., six grandchild­ren, Brandi, Chris, Sorsha, Legend, Karrington, and Kennedy, three great-grandchild­ren, Carson, Brooklynn, Caelum, and six step-grandchild­ren, two brothers and four sisters.

The family will hold services at 11 a.m. on Aug. 25, 2018, at Sunnyside Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark., officiated by Brother Rodney Fry and Brother Terry Simmons. PRAIRIE GROVE — Roy Dean McCratic, age 73, a resident of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at his home. He was born Oct. 1, 1944, in Lincoln, Ark., the son of William Henry and Winnie Geneva (Snodgrass) McCratic.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandpa and good friend to all. He was known as Pops to all, he’d never met a stranger. You could find him at the Crawley Parts Store or at the One Stop having coffee with the guys. He loved being with people like going hunting with the boys and sitting around the camp fire and talking. He worked with the Boy Scout Troop 94, cross country truck driver, worked at Drake Field, started working at Armstrong Co in 1973 until he retired in 2009 after 35 years. Then came the love of his life — antique Farmall tractors with Rustic Relics Antique Club. He loved the tractor pulls and riding in the parade and meeting new people and talking with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Mary E. Higginboth­am McCratic; two sons, Mark Vickery and wife Tammy of Prairie Grove and James McCratic and wife Lisa of Farmington; one sister, Dorothy Jordan; one grandson, Steven Vickery; six step-grandchild­ren, Amber, Courtney, Stephanie, Justin and Kimberly and her husband Johnny; six step-great-grandchild­ren Amare, Keegan, Adlee, Kambren, Traven and Keiton; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held.

ROGERS — Addie Lee Colclasure, 98, of Rogers, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Addie was born Jan. 30, 1920, in Anadarko, Okla., and was the last surviving child of the late Sterling Merit Tarpley and Winnie Pearl Key Tarpley.

Following graduation from Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, she began her career as a registered dietician and practiced for 14 years in the Panama Canal zone. For 41 years, she was the loving wife of Walter Edgel Colclasure.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her two sons, David and Randy Colclasure and a grandson, Freddy Colclasure. Mrs. Colclasure was very involved in the activities of each of her churches through the years and spent many hours reading and studying the Bible. She was a member of Bentonvill­e Wesleyan Nazarene Church, the Panama Canal Society and the National Associatio­n of Retired Federal Employees. For many years she enjoyed collecting stones and mineral specimens before sawing, tumbling or faceting to extract their beauty, but she loved the time she shared with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Marian Colclasur of Rogers; her grandchild­ren, Wendy Kurtz (Brian) of Pea Ridge, and Danny Colclasure of Rogers; her great-grandchild­ren, Randy, Ryan, Gabriel, Lorien and Jacob; numerous extended family members; her church family and dear friends.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. this evening at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonvill­e, and her funeral service will be at 2 p.m., tomorrow, Aug. 25, 2018, at Bentonvill­e Wesleyan Nazarene Church. ROGERS — Margarette Marie Ragland, 72, of Rogers, died Aug. 22, 2018, at her home surrounded by family and friends.

She was born Sept. 25, 1945, in Edinburg, Texas. Margarette was a born again Christian and baptized at Seligman First Baptist Church many years ago.

Margarette married Jimmie Ray Ragland on Feb. 23, 1970. Margarette was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling, camping and fishing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Juanita DeBouver; her biological mother, Evie Martin; a son, Glen Jefferson Ragland; twin grandsons, Joshua Ray Ragland and Jacob Charles Ragland; grandson, Justin Patrick O’Leary; two brothers, Noel DeBouver Jr. and Hugh Martin; a sister, Mary Ellen DeBouver. Survivors are her devoted husband, Jimmie Ragland of the home; daughters, Sandra Ragland of Alvin, Texas, Debra Ragland-Taylor and husband Allen Taylor of Shell Knob, Mo.; a son, Johnny Ragland and fiancee Nina Warren of Bella Vista, Ark.; her two adopted kids, Kevin and Denise Rivers of Rogers, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Janeice Russell of Pasadena, Texas; two brothers, John Martin and James Martin of Texas; two sisters, Diane Partida of Texas, Josephine Garza of Texas; grandchild­ren, Clayton O’Leary, Wesley and Andrea Taylor, Jason and Chell Taylor, Janay and Seth Myers, Jordyn Ragland, Jaira and Mathew Jenkins and 18 great-grandchild­ren.

SILOAM SPRINGS — Gordon Minor Shook, 83-year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Aug. 22, 2018, at Brookdale Assisted Living, Fort Smith, Ark. Born Oct. 30, 1934, in Siloam Springs, Ark., the son of John Shook and Arminda Baker Shook.

Gordon married Wanda Philpot on Aug. 1, 1955, and they were lifetime residents of Siloam Springs except during Gordon’s military service in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a maintenanc­e and shipping supervisor for Jet Stream in Siloam Springs and Sheffield Steel in Kansas City, Mo.

Gordon loved to fish and tinker with small engines and was an accomplish­ed bluegrass and gospel musician. He was a former member and deacon of First Baptist Church, Siloam Springs and was a member of Second Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and three brothers. Survivors include sons, Gordon Shook Jr. and wife Donna of Frisco, Texas; and Walter Shook and wife Terri of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; daughters, Linda Moore and husband Ken of Houston, Ark., Elizabeth Gay Blair and husband Ron of Lavaca, Ark.; brother, Mack Shook and wife Leona of Siloam Springs, Ark.; sisters, Annie Dunson of Rogers, Ark., and Ruth Cook and husband Tom of New Mexico; seven grandchild­ren; Daniel Moore, Rebecka Hughes, Sam Moore, David Shook, Andy Moore, Kathryn Bunch and Robert Blair; 13 great-grandchild­ren and numerous nieces and nephews.

SPRINGDALE — Harold Preston Marlin, 82, of Springdale, Ark., went to be with the Lord Aug. 21, 2018. He was born Feb. 1, 1936, in Cave City, Ark., the son of Harold Woodrow and Eva Hatfield Marlin.

Harold attended Apostolic Life Church in Springdale and was a retired warehouse manager for Meeks Lumber Company. He loved going to church, auctions and yard sales.

He was preceded in death by his wife Anita Marlin; son, Harold Wayne Marlin and grandson, James Nathan Marlin. Harold is survived by his son James Marlin and wife Linda of Lowell, Ark.; sister, Bertha Lee Scott and husband Jack of Elkins, Ark.; grandchild­ren, Melinda Marlin, Amanda Marlin, James M. Marlin; great grandson, Lucky Marlin and several nieces and nephews.
