Seeing beyond a cancer diagnosis
Dealing with a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, and Hope Cancer Resources wants to do as much as possible to help patients and caregivers throughout the journey. They provide patient support, navigation, survivorship and wellness programs, plus cancer prevention education at no cost for families and communities in Benton, Carroll, Madison and Washington counties.
Hope Cancer Resources offers a continuum of emotional support including crisis intervention, individualized counseling and support groups.
Financial assistance is provided for cancer-related prescription medication, cancerrelated dental care and other emergency needs including rent/mortgage, car payments, gasoline (gas cards), travel for out-of-town treatment (hotel, airfare), utilities, and homeowners and automobile insurance.
A Spanish interpreter is available to assist patients during their cancer-related appointments to help ensure clear communication with their medical team.
Transportation is provided for patients to and from cancer-related medical appointments when no other assistance is available.
In 201 , Hope Cancer Resources launched the Wellness Center for Hope to promote wellness, healthy living and overall quality of life for cancer survivors and caregivers by offering access to knowledge and a variety of health-oriented activities that will aid in a healthier cancer journey.
