FAYETTEVIL­LE — Roland “Rozy” Montgomery Rollins, 62, of Fayettevil­le passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at his home. He was born Aug. 5, 1956, in Modesto, Calif., to Donald and Patsy Wallace Rollins.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps; worked as a glazier for over 40 years; played softball for many years; and was an avid sports fan.

Rozy is survived by a son, Roland Rollins, Jr. of Riverside, Calif.; a brother, Don Rollins Jr. of West Fork; a sister, Suzy Steele of Fayettevil­le; grandchild­ren, Reece and Marley Rollins; his loving fiance, Lailani Anderson; Lailani’s children, Tara Snyder, Megan Anderson and Jordan Anderson; and her grandchild­ren, Hayden and Shaylee Clark, Jaxon Snyder and Mattix and Raygen Anderson.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at Beard’s Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Beard’s Chapel with Sheriff Tim Helder officiatin­g. Interment will follow in West Fork Cemetery.

GARFIELD — Timothy Paul Brandes, July 29, 1971Aug. 29, 2018. HUNTSVILLE — Jacob Dylan Phillips, 20, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at Conway. Jacob was born Sept. 25, 1997, at Fayettevil­le, to Brian and Cheryl Davis Phillips.

He was a graduate of Huntsville High School and a student at the University of Central Arkansas where he was majoring in biology with dreams of going on to medical school to become a pediatrici­an. Jacob was actively involved in Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, serving as current president of the Alpha Rho Chapter at UCA. He was also a member of numerous clubs and organizati­ons including UCA Bear Den where he served as former president and board member, UCA Young Democrats and UCA Fisheries and Wildlife Society.

Jacob is survived by his parents and one sister, Hannah Phillips, of the home; his grandparen­ts, Dennis and Mary Lou Davis of Kingston, Jim “Chic” Phillips of Huntsville, and Brenda and Steven Ackerman of Huntsville; his great-grandparen­ts, Lucille Phillips of Huntsville, Paula Davis of Deer, and CB Cline of Kingston. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, MacKenzie and Jessica Phillips of Huntsville, Jeff and Misty Phillips of Bella Vista, Pam Phillips of Hindsville, and Michael Davis and Lisa Davis of Kingston; cousins, Jett and Jaxie Phillips of Huntsville, Megan Barnum of Springdale, Madison Phillips of Hindsville, and Gavin and Zeph Davis of Kingston; his brothers of the Alpha Rho Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, and countless friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Huntsville High School with Nick Hartness officiatin­g.

Pallbearer­s will be Michael Davis, MacKenzie Phillips, Jeff Phillips, James Cline, Jody Cline, Chris Cline, Gavin Davis and Zeph Davis. Honorary pallbearer­s will be the brothers of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, Peyton Counts, Hunter Denison, Alex Pemberton, Mack Stevens, and River Gosvener.

Burial will be at the Sparks Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.

PEA RIDGE — Joyce Tripp, 77, of Pea Ridge died Aug. 28 at her home. Funeral is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge. Visitation is set for 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dent Cemetery.

SCRANTON — Craig Ford, 76, of Scranton, Ark., passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018. Craig was born in Berkeley, Calif., on July 29, 1942. Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Roller Funeral Home, Paris, Ark. Cremation arrangemen­ts under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. SILOAM SPRINGS — Jackie Leon Harrison was born on Jan. 14, 1958, and passed from this life on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Pauline (Winkler) Harrison; brothers Thomas Harrison, Stephen Harrison; sisters, Rhonda (Harrison) Dillard and Cathy Harrison.

Jackie is survived by his son Jeff Harrison and wife Sherry of Springdale, Ark.; grandchild­ren, Breanna Harrison and Zachary Harrison of Colcord, Okla., Darren Stinson II and wife Tasha of Rogers, Ark., Devon Stinson of Newport News, Va.; brother Jimmy Harrison and wife Stephanie of Two Rivers, Wis.; sisters, Patricia Harrison and Sandra Harrison of Stilwell, Okla.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

SPRINGDALE — Sharon Proud entered her eternal rest on Aug. 28, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born May 27, 1945, in Kingston, Ark., to Glen and Polly Madewell.

Sharon married Kenneth Lee Proud on Jan. 17, 1970, in Huntsville, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Sharon retired from Lowell Elementary School and Vanzant’s Fruit Market. She enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, and spending time looking for bargains with her friend, Bonnie. Her greatest love was being with her grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren. She was a devoted mom, sister and grandmothe­r.

Sharon is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jessica Hopkins and her husband Frank of Chelsea, Okla.; her son, Joshua Proud and his wife Lori of Springdale; two brothers, Alfred Madewell and his wife Mary, and Danny Madewell and his wife Kelley; five sisters, Mary Main and her husband Lawrence, Ava Franklin, Nancy Dixon, Brenda Jo Madewell, Susie Edens and her husband Turl; five granddaugh­ters, Louanna, Alanna, Deanna, Avery and Lyndi Jo; one grandson, Langston; six great-grandchild­ren and a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Sharon requested donations be made to Meals On Wheels, 203 Park St., Springdale, Ark., 72764.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home, Springdale. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Westfield Chapel. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
