What’s to love: Expanding foam made by DAP that can be used to fill gaps and cracks in a house keeping out mice, birds and bats and cold air.

What does it do: When it turns colder in a few months, critters will be looking for a warm place to stay. Mouse Shield’s expanding foam is made with an EPA-registered pesticide to not only block creatures and pests from entering a home, but deter and protect the foam from rodents. The foam can also be used to seal under sinks and around pipe and electrical openings inside the house. The foam is tack-free in 15 minutes and dry in four hours. List price is $13.77.
