ROGERS — Lennis

William “Bill” Morris, 92, of Rogers, Ark., was born August 3, 1926 and went to his rest Friday, September 14, 2018, in anticipation of his resurrection at his Lord’s return in His second advent. (1Thess 4:16,17).

Bill was an evangelic minister of the gospel for about fifty years, but is far better remembered for his God-given talent of gospel singing. In need of an accompanist, God led him to the Rogers Seventh-day Adventist Church where he found his lifelong companion, Betty Jo. They were married September 15, 1978, and caused many to rejoice in the LORD!

Bill was self-employed in the trade of cement work and plastering. He was taught by his father after his discharge

from the service following World War II. He worked this area to a greater extent, but also went to where work was available.

Now that His work is done, he rests in hope, as all do who trust in the promise given by the Lord for an eternity with Him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Morris in 2015, and his parents.

Bill is survived by his son, Wayne Morris and wife, Rose of York, Penn.; a daughter, Vicki Hill and husband, Bob of Wichita, Kan.; five step-children, Joe Holland and wife, Charlotte, Pat Webb and husband, Frank, Dianne Leeman and husband, Russ, Candy Douglas and husband, Robert, and Jim Burr and wife, Jean; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Rogers Seventh-day Adventist Church, 301 N. 33rd St., Rogers. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m., until service time.

Burial will be at Rogers Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 1201 NE Legacy Pkwy, Bentonville, Ark., 72712.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Online condolences may be made to stockdalemoodyfs.com.
