A fight at ballot box

I think the so-called “blue wave” midterm election is a hoax created by Republican political strategists to instill a false sense of security in liberal voters. The tone-deaf mainstream media parrot the Republican talking points, lending them credibility and weight.

Every Trumped-up tweet, false accusation and outlandish lie is repeated in the press and perpetuated by a horde of cable “news” pundits. The lies reverberate and echo into perceived half-truths. It’s all Trump, all the time, and he loves it.

Never in our history have we witnessed a president who is in full campaign mode 24/7. He is a master marketer and campaigner who has nationalized the midterm elections into a referendum on himself and his ruinous presidency.

There doesn’t seem to be a real national Democratic party to oppose him. Where are our leaders? Who are our leaders? The last person to stand up to Mitch McConnell was John McCain.

Trump has wrapped himself in the American flag and weaponized our national anthem. He is making a fortune for himself and his family off this gig and he isn’t going to give it up without a fight.

A vote for French Hill is a vote for Donald Trump. Every registered Democrat who doesn’t vote in 2018 is voting for Donald Trump in 2020. It is time for us to take the gloves off and fight back at the ballot box. DAVID ELI COCKCROFT
