-

LAKE MILLWOOD Largemouth and white bass are on a feeding frenzy, with catches of 50-75 bass per day reported over the past two weeks. Black bass and white bass are feeding on the surface in the Little River and its oxbows on points ranging from 5-10 feet with vegetation and pads. Best baits are Bomber Fat Free Shads in Tennessee Shad, Bass Assassin Shads, H&H Spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, Rat-L-Traps and SpinTraps in chrome/blue and shad patterns like Millwood Magic, Sexy Bone Nova, Blueback Herring or Liv-N Chrome. Crappie are biting tubes, minnows, or Cordell Paddle Tail Grubs in smoke colors over planted brush out of the current and behind long points in the Little River. Catfish are biting well on yo-yos and trotlines in Mud Lake, Horseshoe Lake and McGuire Lake up Little River. Chicken hearts, livers, gizzards and cut shad are working well.

LAKE MAUMELLE Largemouth bass are being caught in 8-12 feet and suspended off creek channels. Try using crankbaits, spoons and swim jigs. Kentucky bass are biting swim jigs in the same areas. Crappie are suspended over brush at about 18-22 feet.

LAKE OUACHITA Black bass fishing is good on the west end using live crawfish, flukes and Zara Spooks. Walleye are biting C.C. Spoons near brush. Stripers are biting live bait at major creek mouths and main lake points on the eastern and central parts of the lake. Bream are biting crickets and worms at 15-25 feet near brush. Crappie are biting jigs or minnows at 15-20 feet near brush. Catfish are biting cut bait, live bait and stink bait.
