BELLA VISTA — Sally L. Peterson, 93, formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died Oct. 18, 2018, at Innisfree Care Facility in Rogers, Ark. Sally Lee Lindberg was born in Media, Pa., to Claude G. and Marcia S. Lindberg. Sally met Lee E. Peterson at her maternal grandparen­ts’ summer resort, Dixie Lodge, on Balsam Lake, Wis. They were married July 1, 1944, at Dixie Lodge. After a brief honeymoon, Lee, a dentist and officer in the Army, was sent overseas. Sally finished two years of college at the University of Kentucky. After the war, they moved to Windom, Minn., where Lee practiced dentistry for many years and Sally was a homemaker. Her interests included golf, bridge, reading, art, and service to the United Methodist Church. Sally and Lee retired to Bella Vista in 1984. Sally was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lee Peterson; one brother, John; and her parents. She is survived by her children, Gregory (Cathy) of Windom, Minn., Andrew (Jeen) of Toronto, Canada, Brian (Cheri) of Inola, Okla., and Catherine Haar (Robert) of Clarkston, Mich.; two siblings, Elizabeth Flint of Westport, Conn., and Colin Lindberg (Cecelia) of Burlington, Vt.; six grandchild­ren; two step-grandchild­ren; eight great-grandchild­ren and four step-great-grandchild­ren. A memorial service will be held Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, officiated by Rev. Jeanne Williams and Rev. Brenda Wideman. BELLA VISTA — A Godly man of honor, Bobby Eugene Richardson, was called to his heavenly home and family Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, after a long battle with dementia, Parkinson’s, COPD and RA. Born Sept. 12, 1935, in Florence County, Ala., he moved to Texas after serving his country with a top-secret clearance, in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, during the Korean War. He met his wife of 59 years, Sue, in Dallas, and went to work for Sun Oil, now Anadarko Petroleum, from which he retired. After moving to Arkansas, he founded and served as CEO of ADS Properties, a real estate rental company. He was a member of New Life Christian Church of Bella Vista. His only hobby was fishing and lake activities with his wife and son, Don (Donald Eugene). He and Sue followed

Don to Arkansas to help after the grandchild­ren, Reece Anthony, 10, and Renee Suanne, 12, were born. His son and grandchild­ren were the absolute apple of his eye, and his prayer for them was that they would always act with honor and do the right thing, characteri­stics he modeled in everything throughout his life. His greatest concerns were the effects on his children of the godlessnes­s taking place in our society and elected officials calling wrong right and voting accordingl­y. Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother and both sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife, son, and grandchild­ren; his devoted niece, Karen; and several other nieces and nephews in Dallas. He was deeply loved by his family, and his love for his Savior, his honor, devotion to his family, and righteousn­ess will be missed. BENTONVILL­E — Dallan A. Brown, 77, passed away Oct. 30, 2018, in Bentonvill­e. He was born on Dec. 13, 1940, in Tulare, Calif., to the late Harvey and Louise (Talley) Brown. He was the loving husband of Ruth (Rinke) Brown for 54 years. He owned Peggy’s Cleaners and Laundry in Fayettevil­le for a few years and was also a bi-vocational pastor for many years before retiring. Dallan enjoyed fishing with his friends. He was also an excellent woodworker and made rocking horses for all his grandchild­ren. Dallan was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronnie Brown. He is survived by his wife of Bentonvill­e; son, Don “Bubba” Brown and wife Alicea of Bentonvill­e; daughters, Donna Brown and Pam Brockman, both of Kansas; brothers Steve Brown (Gasha) of Benton and Billy Dean Brown (Cindy) of Jonesboro; sisters Brenda Collins (Harold) of Augusta, Ark., Vikki Sellers of Judsonia, Ark., LaNell Fraser (Fred) of McCrory, Ark., Mary Majors (James) of Searcy, Ark., and Paula Jones (William) of McCrory, Ark.; 11 grandchild­ren; seven great-grandchild­ren and numerous nieces and nephews. BENTONVILL­E — Mary Evelyn (Sellers) Rollow, 96, of Bentonvill­e, Ark., passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, in Castle Pines, Colo. She was born Feb. 16, 1922, in Pratt, Kan., the daughter of Mary G. and Claude O. Sellers. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Oklahoma City, Okla., and taught tap lessons to the little girls at St. Mary’s Boarding School. She attended Oklahoma City University. While living in Bentonvill­e, she was president of the PTA and did extensive volunteer work for the Bates Hospital Foundation and the American Cancer Society. She was always very happy and lightheart­ed and loved dancing, playing bridge and traveling with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John A. Rollow, M.D., to whom she was married for 58 years; and one brother, Tom Sellers. She is survived by three children, son, John A. CARLISLE — Mary Roberts, 87, of Carlisle, Ark., went to be with the Lord at Circle of Life in Bentonvill­e, Ark., on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018. She was born to Andrew and Ora Spencer on March 11, 1931. Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Albert. FAYETTEVIL­LE — John Robert Kehn Jr., age 80, of Fayettevil­le died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, in Fayettevil­le. He was born Oct. 12, 1938, in Hogeye, Ark., the son of John R. Kehn, Sr. and Walburga “Wallie” Kehn. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Jane Bell-Kehn, and his siblings, Pauline, Tom, Rosemary, Betty Anne, and Jerry. He is a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayettevil­le. He was raised in the Catholic faith and attended St. Jospeh Catholic School in Fayettevil­le. He graduated from Fayettevil­le High School, where he played basketball, and attended the University of Arkansas. After 40 years, he retired from Arkansas Western Gas Company, where he was vice president of operations. He served as the president of the Arkansas Gas Associatio­n and the Washington County Water Authority, and was a founding member and the initial president of Arkansas One Call. He was a member of the Rotary Club. He also served on the board for the Fayettevil­le Chamber of Commerce. He volunteere­d for many years at the Seven Hills Homeless Center. He followed his bliss back to a little Hogeye farm, back to his roots. He loved his animals, both large and small. His greatest joy and pride were his grandchild­ren, whom he deeply loved and tirelessly entertaine­d at the farm or while taking them camping and fishing. John found great joy in life, and he brought great joy to all of those fortunate enough to be his family and friends. He enjoyed life to the fullest with an infectious smile and a big heart. God has extravagan­tly blessed us by the kind and gentle soul of this good man. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Fields Powell Kehn; two daughters, Regina Kehn Flores of Dallas, Texas, and Christina Kehn of Fayettevil­le; three sons, Doug Kehn and his wife Michelle of Trenton, Texas, Mark Powell and his wife Elizabeth of Fayettevil­le and Matt Powell and his wife Stacey of Fayettevil­le; and eight grandchild­ren, Gage, Kailey, John Michael, Walker, Aubrey, Taylor, Ella May, and Leta. GARFIELD — Irma Sue Eoff of Garfield passed away on Nov. 2, 2018. She was born on July 31, 1959, in Rogers to the late Harvey Leon and Marjorie Irene (Edmondson) Eoff. HUNTSVILLE — Kelly Ray Berry, Huntsville, died Nov. 2, 2018, in Rogers. He was born Aug. 5, 1954, in Fayettevil­le to Bill and Geneva Berry. KINGSTON — Mr. George William Robbins, 73, of Kingston, Ark., was born on July 20, 1945, to William Norton Robbins and Alice Mae Schdek Robbins in Tulsa, Okla. George passed away Nov. 1, 2018, in his home, from complicati­ons of fragile X tremor ataxia syndrome (FXTAS). George will be remembered by his wife of 52 years, Barbara (Bobbye) Guss Robbins; his children, Robin and Rick Horton, Bo Robert and April, and Randy and Shelly; his grandchild­ren, Hollye and Hunter, Skye and her Molly, Madyson, Racheal and Bo, and Wyatt and Kallen, all of northern Arkansas; his brother, Charles E. Robbins and Terry of Bradenton, Fla.; sister-in-law, Betty Robbins of Rogers; and nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Marilyn Smith of Hickory, N.C.; brother, Richard (Dick) Robbins of Rogers, Ark.; grandson, Robert Spencer Franklin of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; step-father, Dan DeLong of Bradenton, Fla.; and one step-sister of Michigan. George attended school in Bradenton, Fla., and joined the Air Force at 17 years old. He served one tour in Vietnam. George moved to Rogers and owned Robbins Auto Parts while serving on the Rogers Volunteer Fire Department. He decided to go full-time as firefighte­r and became a paramedic. George loved being with and helping people. After retiring from Rogers Fire Department, he continued work as a paramedic tech at St. Mary’s Hospital (Mercy) and part-time at Madison County EMS. George was on the Kingston Volunteer Fire Department. As long as he could drive, he went to the medical calls. PEA RIDGE — Wymbert Thomas Lane, 75, of Pea Ridge died Oct. 30, 2018, at his home. He was born Nov. 9, 1942, in Qualls, Okla., to Brad Lane and Opal Denny Lane. He married Shirley Gardner on July 2, 1990. and was an Army National Guard veteran. He worked locally for Tyson Foods in Rogers and drove for McLarty Daniel Ford in Bentonvill­e. He loved to go to Tunica and travel with his wife, Shirley. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was loved by everyone. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, James Welch. ROGERS — Jesus L. “Jesse” Rodriguez, 74, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Oct. 28, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born July 28, 1944, in McNary, Ariz., to Salvador and Miquela Rodriguez. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for eight years, serving in Vietnam and the National Guard. Jesse was known for his warm smile, friendline­ss and unique ability to make friends with anyone. He had a love for posting pictures and comments on social media, spending quality time with family, and getting out to Lake Atalanta on a daily basis for his morning walks. He was an active member at Rogers Activity Center and Rogers Senior Center, where he also enjoyed exercising with his wife and following Arkansas Razorback sports. Jesse was a faithful member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Raymond and Frank Sanchez. ROGERS — Brenda Gail Eden Rogers, 69, died Thursday, Nov. 1, at Mercy Hospital, Rogers, Ark. She was born in Bentonvill­e, Ark., on Nov. 3, 1948, to William Harold Eden and Martha Presley Eden. She grew up in Monte Ne and Rogers, Ark., and was a 1966 graduate of Rogers High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas in 1970 and a master’s degree from the University of Texas in 1980. She was a gifted teacher who taught grades from preschool to sixth grade in Rogers, San Antonio, the Chicago area, Decatur, Ga., and Stuttgart, Germany. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Buddy (Hiluard G.) Rogers; a daughter, Jennifer Eden Rogers and son-in-law Eamon Renaghan, both of Rogers, and grandson, Joshua Bezdek of New Braunfels, Texas. A member of First Baptist Church of Rogers, Brenda lived a luminous life in Christ. Her joy and thoughtful­ness, strength and compassion, wisdom and humor drew others to her. She was a fierce protector of her family, her students, and her faith and a miracle of grace and generosity. Despite living with chronic pain her entire adult life, she remained positive and gloried in the love of her husband and daughter. Her family and many friends miss her musical laugh but are comforted she suffers no more. And more than consoled that her soul is at peace in God’s loving arms. SPRINGDALE — Brenda Kay Dean, 61, joined God’s heavenly family on Nov. 2, 2018. She was born on July 7, 1957, in Little Rock, Ark., to Wesley and Glenna (Brand) Cagle. She was the loving wife of 35 years to Phil Dean. Brenda was a 1975 graduate of Danville High School and a 1976 graduate of Baptist Nursing School in Little Rock. She was a nurse for many years. Brenda loved flowers, especially roses. Her life included several well-loved pets. Brenda kept a well-appointed home; she loved decorating and was always adding decoration­s to her home. She and her sister, Sue, spent many hours in their playhouse; they were inseparabl­e as children. She loved her mother, Glenna Cagle Pledger, dearly. Brenda was preceded in death by her daddy, Wesley Marlo Cagle; an infant brother; an infant sister; stepfather, Boyd Pledger; and infant grandson, Marion Phillip Cook. TONTITOWN — Pete John Pianalto, 96, of Tontitown, died Nov. 1, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born Dec. 8, 1921, in Tontitown to Joe and Annie Cigainero Pianalto. Pete served in the Army during World War II. He was a farmer throughout his life and considered to be a profession­al bocce ball player. Pete served on the Tontitown Planning Commission and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ann Bailey; six daughters, Kerry Hyman and husband Michael, Cathy Culpepper and husband Clint Scrivner, Becky Avery and husband Steve, Candy Phillips and husband Rusty Renfrow, Angela Hayes and husband David, and Leasa Souza and husband Bruce; two step-daughters, Holly Bowles and husband Tom, and Heather Vaughn and husband Richard; and a sister, Judy Colwell and husband Roger; 10 grandchild­ren, Samantha, Sarah, Christian, Caroline, Hunter, Grant, Ella, Caleigh Shea, Ellie, and Avery. He also has three great-grandchild­ren. Preston was born June 8, 1939, in Pryor, Okla., to his beloved parents Homer and Roma Bynum. He grew up in Siloam Springs, Ark., and was a graduate of SSHS class of 1957. Preston was elected class president three years and was known for his athletic ability, lettering in three sports all four years of his high school career. He worked in the family business, Bynum Motor Company, with his father from 1960-1985. His love of Arkansas and its people led him to a political career. Preston served on the Siloam Springs City Council and on the board of directors for the Chamber of Commerce. Preston then went on to serve in the House of Representa­tives from 19681981, where he was one of the youngest members and, at one time, the only Republican. According to his colleagues, Preston was a key contributo­r in the building of the Republican Party in Arkansas. There are now

over 75 Republican House members. Bynum left the Legislatur­e to serve as chief of staff for Gov. Frank White from 1981-1983. He then began work for Stephens Inc. as an investment banker and government relations advisor. Preston was their chief lobbyist for 13 years. In 1997, he founded the Phoenix Group, where he represente­d many clients in government relations until 2014, when he retired. Other notable achievemen­ts included nine years of service in the National Guard. From 1983-1995, Preston served as executive director of the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas. In 2011, Preston received the Pioneer Award from the Benton County Republican Party. He was a founding member of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, Little Rock, Ark. In 2013, Preston received an honorary associates degree of educationa­l service from Northwest Arkansas Community College. In addition, John Brown University named its performing arts theater The Preston Bynum Theatre in honor of his dedication and public service. Preston will be remembered for his unique ability to connect to everyone he came into contact with. He never forgot a name or a face. As a devoted Christian, we have no doubt he is shaking hands in Heaven today. Visitation is Nov. 7, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Backstrom Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs at 11 a.m. on Nov. 8, 2018. Pastor Colby Fulfer will officiate the service, with burial being at Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. EDGAR SPRINGS, Mo. — Lyle Douglas Kivett, age 67, of Edgar Springs, Mo., passed away at his home Nov. 1, 2018. The eldest son of William Chester and Wilma Christene (Nielson) Kivett, Lyle was born April 26, 1951. He graduated from Ava High School and attended college at SMS in Springfiel­d. He retired after a 30-year career as a heavy equipment operator working to build over 250 miles of highways in southern Missouri and Northwest Arkansas. Lyle also raised cattle and timber on a third-generation family farm. Lyle was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was of the Catholic faith. Lyle is survived by his children, William Robert Kivett of Springdale, Ark., and Laura Ann Kivett and Jodi Ray Reed of Waynesvill­e. He is also survived by siblings, Franklin James Kivett of the home and Aleda Louise Kivett of Edgar Springs; niece Sara McCoy, and great-nieces Victoria Pankey and Taylor McCoy. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St., Licking, Mo. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2018.
