BENTONVILLE — Joe Carson Bryan, 92, of Bentonville passed away Nov. 9 in his home. He was born May 20, 1926, in Bentonville to Kit and Elizabeth Bryan. Joe was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Delpha; two sons, Stephan Bryan and Richard Bryan; two step-sons, Steve Fair and James Fair; and six grandchildren, Thomas Bryan, Sireenia Pruett, Jeremy Bryan, Samantha Parks, Jesse Bryan, and Kara Hedrick. BENTONVILLE — Linda Harbert, 81, of Bentonville passed away Nov. 6, 2018, in Bentonville. She was born June 12, 1937, in Tulsa, Okla., to Ben and Maude Moseley. She is survived by her daughters, Katy Turnbaugh, and Andrea Von Drehle; grandchildren, Tehra Thorp, Seth Thorp, Leah Thorp, Ryan Von Drehle, Lauren Von Drehle Killary; and great-grandson, Chapman Killary. HUNTSVILLE — Janyce Joy Wasson, 71, of Huntsville, died Nov. 6, 2018, at home. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
PRAIRIE GROVE — Ronnie Lee Waddill, 71, of Prairie Grove, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Regency Hospital in Springdale. Ronnie was born Aug. 21, 1947, to Norman Franklin and Vada Viola Masters Waddill in Newport.
He was a Vietnam veteran and enjoyed meeting weekly with a group of fellow veterans after his service. He enjoyed playing golf and his weekly meeting with his coffee group. Ronnie was devoted to his family, his church, and he never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; Robert Waddill and Norman Dale “Buddy” Waddill. He is survived by his brother, Carl Eugene Waddill of Prairie Grove; two sisters, Joan Helms of Little Rock and Catherine Harris of Newport; eight nieces and nephews, Franklin Harris, Lana Holt, Carla Huggins, Stephanie Beatty, James Waddill, Brian Waddill, Karey Simmons, and Kelly Bishop; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Farmington Church of Christ. Interment with military honors will be at noon at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Arrangements are with Heritage Funeral Home, online guestbook at www. heritageofnwa.com.
RUSSELLVILLE — Donald Owens, age 82, of Russellville, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He was born Nov. 11, 1935, in Success to Robert Armstrong and Pansy Ona Thom Owens.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he also served as a greeter. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War. He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration during a 42-year career, ending as the manager of Drake Field Control Tower in Fayetteville, Ark. He delivered food to shut-ins and volunteered at the River Valley Christian Clinic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Bob; and a son-in-law, Jay Miller. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Claudette Owens of Russellville; a son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Sophie Owens of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Cristy Miller of Russellville; five grandchildren, Ryan Miller of Little Rock, Katie (Matt) Fink of Conway, and Hunter, Becky and Max Owens, all of Fort Worth, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Lainey and Owen Fink, both of Conway.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Russellville, with the Rev. Greg Sykes, the Rev. Mike Cloud, and the Rev. Stephen Davis officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.

SPRINGDALE — J.D. Brown, age 79, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at the Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale, Ark. He was born April 21,1939, to J.P. and Osie (Jarnagan) Brown in Hazel Valley, Ark.
He spent most of his life working in road construction. He started his career with Washington County Road Department in the tire shop and left after 19 years of service as road superintendent. He worked at Tomlinson Asphalt for 30 years and retired in 2009. The joy of his life was spending time with his grandsons and sharing stories about his younger years.
J.D. was preceded in passing by his parents, one brother and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Shackelford Brown, of the home; his sister, Norma Johnston of Del City, Okla.; his son, Mike Brown and his daughter, Shirley Brown both of Fayetteville; two step-daughters; Deanna and son-in law, Ty Fraker and Tonya Baker all of Springdale; and five grandsons.
Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Ave., Springdale, Ark., 72762, with Pastor Jasper Hankins officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale.
