BELLA VISTA — Loretta Elizabeth “Betsy” Graham,

75, of Bella Vista, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018. She was born March 8, 1943, in Fayettevil­le.

A celebratio­n of Betsy’s life will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Private interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

BENTONVILL­E —

Kimberly Ann Barrett, 48, of Bentonvill­e, passed away Nov. 15, 2018, in Bentonvill­e. She was born Jan. 4, 1970, in Springdale to Robert and June McMillan.

She worked as a supervisor at Walmart in commercial transporta­tion.

She is survived by her husband Brandon Barrett of the home; children Wade and Makayla Barrett; mother June Johns (Jim); siblings, Tracy Peters (Galen), Tammy Lamb (Chad), David Rust (Haley), Joseph Thomas (Matthew); brother-in-law Shane Barrett; sister-in-law Hope Barrett; mother-in-law Jackie Barrett; 17 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father Robert McMillan and brother Dale Sisemore.

CANE HILL — William

Connie Delap, 86, a resident of Cane Hill, Ark., passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at his home. He was born Oct. 23, 1932, in Cane Hill, the son of William Alfred and Dacy (Pegram) Delap.

Connie was a lifelong resident of Cane Hill. He attended the University of Arkansas, where he studied horticultu­re. He was active farmer, raising chickens and cattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Reba Shinn.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Eleanor Louise Delap; one son, Charlie Delap and wife Sandi of Prairie Grove; two daughters, JoAnna Hossay and husband Chris of Fayettevil­le, and Dr. Susan Delap of Little Rock; four grandchild­ren, Katherine Roberts and husband Daniel, Kristen Jones and husband Neil, and William Kyle Delap and Kara Hossay; and three great-grandchild­ren, Hayley Roberts, Macy Roberts and Karlee Jones.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Cane Hill Cemetery. No graveside service will be held at the cemetery.

ELM SPRINGS — Etta

Lou Craine Perrett, 77, of Elm Springs, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born May 24, 1941, in War Eagle to Loyde Greene and Violet Josephine (Campbell) Edmondson.

Etta was the youngest of 10 children. She enjoyed baseball, especially watching the Cardinals and Arkansas Naturals play. She worked for over 20 years with Community Blood Center. Etta was a proud member of the Arkansas open-carry group and loved her dog, Mattie. Above

all, she was devoted to her family and an active member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, where she in earlier life sang in the choir.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Perrett; three children, Debbie Savage and husband Sid, Lisa Cronk, and Robert Craine and wife Tonya; three step-children, Gerald Craine of Joplin, Angie Pike and husband Ernie, and Glenn Perrett and wife Michelle; 12 grandchild­ren, Michael Taylor and wife Becky, Debbie Carr and husband Michael, Dustin Savage, B.J. Swiney, Jon Lewis, Tristan Cronk, Taylor Cronk, Josh Craine and wife Samantha, Kaitlyn Robinson and husband Josh, Courtney Craine, Kendall Collins, and Jeremy Collins; three step-grandchild­ren, Tyler Pike and wife Kaylee, Garrison Perrett, and Maguire Perrett; and eight great-grandchild­ren.

Etta was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Craine; a daughter, Janice Gillihan; and step-son, David Craine.

Visitation will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with interment at Friendship Cemetery.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Claibourne Watkins Bass,

78, passed away Nov. 13 in Fayettevil­le. He was born Dec. 14, 1939, in Little Rock, Ark., to Walter Richard Bass and Mildred Walker Bass.

He graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1957. Clay joined the Air Force in March 1962, and he served during the Cuban missile crisis at Little Rock AFB.

As a young man Clay was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, attaining Eagle Scout in 1956. He also served as troop leader of Boy Scout Troop 1 in the Western Boy Scout Council in Fort Smith in 1970 and was leader of Troop 8 from 1971-1972.

He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1968, earning a BS in industrial nanagement. In 1972, Clay moved to Fayettevil­le and bought The Highroller Cyclery, which he operated as owner/manager until 1992. He sold that business in 2007 and retired to a full life of managing his rental property with his wife, Cathy.

Clay was happiest when he was in his shop helping a friend with a repair or starting a new project.

Clay is survived by his wife Catherine W. Bass; his son, Jon Bass of Portland, Ore.; his brother, Hugh Bass (Rita) of Springfiel­d, Ill., and Punta Gorda, Fla.; three step-children, Amanda Tieaskie (Jeff), Max Moore (Kelly), Wendy Dunn (Whitley) all of Fayettevil­le; nine grandchild­ren and a great-granddaugh­ter.

He is preceded in death by four siblings, Walter R. Bass, Jr. of Kansas City, Mo.; Anne Bass Fulk, Cooper Bass and Robert Bass, all of Little Rock.

A private burial will be held at the Fayettevil­le National Cemetery. A memorial service is planned for a later date.

Desmond Heyliger Jr., 90, of Fayettevil­le, passed away on Nov. 16, 2018, at home under the care of Circle of Life Hospice.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at Mount Comfort Presbyteri­an Church with the Rev. Dan Wooley of Mount Comfort Presbyteri­an Church officiatin­g. Reception to follow at the Old School House. Military burial at the Fayettevil­le National Cemetery.

Desmond was born in Germantown, Pa., to Desmond Sr., and Marjorie (Molt) Heyliger on June 12, 1928. He married Barbara J. Bowen on Nov. 15, 1952 in Willow Grove, Pa., the day after he was discharged from the Army. He attended Temple University in Philadelph­ia. He went into business as a custom building contractor from 1962 through 1974 then retired and moved to Fayettevil­le, Ark., where he enjoyed his retirement fishing and farming.

He was a veteran of the Korean War from 1950 through 1952 and served in the Army, where he earned the nickname “Moose” Heyliger.

Desmond is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Debra Heyliger Lankford and son Robert Bruce Heyliger.

Desmond is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Joan Bowen Heyliger; children, Desmond Heyliger III (Barbara A.), Dorothy Heyliger Ashworth (Billy D.) and Marjorie Heyliger Ward (Daniel); sisters, Joyce Heyliger Striegler and Nancy Heyliger Thwaites; 13 grandchild­ren and 13 great-grandchild­ren.

LOWELL — Marta

Ines Morrison, 63, of Lowell, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at her home. She was born May 13, 1955, in Bogota, Colombia, to Jose and Josefina Triana Parra.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Marta was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was active with the NWA Activity Center in Rogers. She taught Spanish class, enjoyed playing pickle ball, hiking and bicycling. Marta loved fiercely, forgave selflessly and showed all those who surrounded her how special her light was.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Morrison of the home; a son, Nicolas Guerrero-Parra of Fayettevil­le; a daughter, Natalia Guerrero-Parra of Fayettevil­le; and two sisters, Myriam and Amalia Parra, both of Bogota, Colombia.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at Beard’s Chapel.

Watts, 83, of Lowell died Nov. 17. He was born Aug. 18, 1935, to James and Nola Watts.

ROGERS — Ellis

Thurman Bridges, 71, of Rogers passed away surrounded by his family Nov. 15, 2018. He was born Jan. 21, 1947, in Koshkonong, Missouri, the son of Jesse Bridges Jr. and Velma Johnson Bridges and her husband Phil Holzkamper.

Ellis graduated in 1965 from Decatur High School and was a supervisor for Emerson Electric. He served in the U.S. Army. Ellis lived in Monterrey, Mexico, for many years. He enjoyed his motorcycle adventures, traveling and visiting many countries.

Ellis was loved by his two daughters, his parents, eight brothers, five sisters, five grandchild­ren and one great grandchild.

ROGERS — Martha Dowell of Rogers passed away Nov. 15, 2018. She was born on May 24, 1933 ,in Miami, Okla., to the late Elmer and Virginia Gaines.

Martha will be remembered as a friendly, lively woman who never met a stranger. With her circle of friends in Northwest Arkansas, she helped found the local Junior Auxiliary in the 1960s, and she was involved in the Jaycees, Beta Sigma Phi, and The Birthday Club. She was a member of The Samaritan House church in Rogers.

Her survivors include her children, Beth Holmes of Rogers, Sam Dowell of Springfiel­d, Mo., and Kathryn Dowell of Rogers; grandchild­ren, Beau Reed and wife Jessica of Jonesboro, Kristyn Lawson and husband Levi of Rogers, and Nicole Dowell of San Diego, Calif.; great-grandchild­ren, Noah Reed and Kamryn and Ciera Lawson; and brothers, Jim Gaines and wife DeMaris of Miami, Okla., and Tom Gaines of Rogers. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, grand-dogs, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Joiner, 80, of Rogers, died on Nov. 7, 2018. She was born in Chicago to John and Helen Joiner. She was married to Bill Clark of Redfield from 1955-1982. ROGERS — Sterling C. Nelson, age 88, of Rogers, Ark., died peacefully with family by his side on Nov. 15, 2018.

He was born in Randall, Iowa, on June 28, 1930, to Carl Martin and Esther (Larson) Nelson.

He was married to Janice Jacobson on Feb. 22, 1958, and was a graduate of St. Olaf College. He served in the Army during the Korean War and subsequent­ly worked for Montgomery Ward in the Manhattan, N.Y., office for 25 years.

Sterling dedicated his life to serving the community, volunteeri­ng for the Rogers Recycling Center for nearly 18 years. The foundation of his life was cemented by his faith and was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church for nearly 30 years, serving on executive staff for five years.

He is survived by his beloved wife; son Steven (Linda) Nelson of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Lois Nelson of Rogers, Ark., Karen (Scott) Klane of Rogers, Ark.; sisters, Ruth Grimsley of Hubbard, Iowa, and June Teigland of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchild­ren, Jennifer (Armondo) Lopez, Candice Nelson, Joshua (Jenny) Gentz, Mathew Hopkins, Branden Gentz, Brett Gentz and Jacob Klane; great grandchild­ren, Paige Garrison, Diego Lopez and Jaxon Lopez.

He was preceded in death by both parents, sister Clara Leeman and daughter Jo Anne Nelson.

A memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church of Rogers, Ark., at 11a.m. Nov. 26, 2018, with Pastor Melissa Ehrhardt officiatin­g. The family welcomes a gathering of friends prior to the service between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

ROGERS — Eva Anola

Osborne, age 80, passed away in her home on Nov. 10, 2018.

She was born on May 4, 1938, in Rogers, Ark., to James and Eva Mae (Matthews) Miller.

She was a member of the Brightwate­r Methodist Church. A 1956 graduate of Rogers High School and a member of DAR.

She is preceded in death by both parents, husbands, Jack Reynolds, Billy Osborne and her sister Janice Brock.

She is survived by her son, Roger Reynolds of Rogers; brother James and wife Jo Ann Miller of War Eagle, Ark., and one grandson, Joshua Reynolds of Rogers.

ROGERS — Charles “Chuck” Stewart Zank,

68, of Rogers passed away Thursday, Nov. 15 at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Madison, Wis., the son of Amy and Lester Zank on Jan. 10, 1950.

Chuck loved his family very much and was a proud grandpa. He enjoyed attending the many events his grandchild­ren were involved in. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Bentonvill­e.

Chuck was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He enjoyed music, watching sports, traveling and supporting the Badgers and Razorbacks. Chuck worked for Kraft Foods for 20 years and Walmart Realty for another 10 years before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Zank; two sons, Brian Zank (Kathie), Derrick Zank (Dahlia); sister Linda Barker (Chris); two grandchild­ren, Tanner Zank, Kara Zank, and many loving friends and family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 21 from 9 to 10 a.m.

YSPRINGDAL­E — Frankie Marie Barker, 97, of Springdale passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at her home. She was born Dec. 28, 1920, in Kingston, Ark., to Emmett and Sinda Burk DuVall.

Frankie graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1963 with a bachelor’s degree. She taught first and second grade for 37 years, then later retired from Walmart as a door-greeter. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking for her family and helping Poppy with their cattle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Clyde F. Barker; one daughter, Lou Feagin, one grandson, Jackie Feagin; two sisters, Hazel DuVall and Dorothy Grigg.

Survivors include one daughter, Bettie Marchant and husband Darel of Springdale; three sisters, Pearl Phillips, Minnie Hutchison and Alice Leinberger all of Idaho; eight grandchild­ren, Jerry Feagin, Cindi Feagin, Bo Parmain, Bobbie Blackbird, Heather Sizemore, Ed, Rick, and Dan Marchant; eight great grandchild­ren, Stephanie Maupin, Jessica Boring, Tommy Parmain, Kolby Sizemore, Cameron and Derek Doshier and Huk and Stevie Blackbird; two great great grandchild­ren, Jack and Laynie Maupin; and her sweet dog Roxy.

YSPRINGDAL­E — Gary Don Berry, 74, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 15, 2018. He was born Jan. 31, 1944, in Van Buren, Ark., the son of the late Charles and Wanda Johnson Berry.

He had served in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired accountant for Brunner & Lay in Springdale.

He is survived by his wife Betty Berry of the home; sons, Rob Williams and his wife Heather, Orven Williams and one brother, Gerald Berry.

YSPRINGDAL­E — Jimmy Dale Bridges, 79, of Springdale, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born June 4, 1939, in Lowell, Ark., to John and Daisy Danford Bridges.

Jimmy worked for Crane Company of Rogers. He loved gardening, farming and he was an avid outdoorsma­n.

He is preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Ruby Thompson, Juanita Harp, Stella Dearing and Mary Middleton.

Survivors include his wife, Louie Ann Bridges of the home; four sons, Ronald Bridges and wife Salina of Missouri, Gerald Bridges and wife Geniece of Michigan, Donnie Bridges and wife Cindy of Van Buren and Lonnie Bridges and wife Victoria of Oklahoma; two sisters, Betty Gibbons of Rogers and Linda

YSPRINGDAL­E — Lois June Shay McJunkin, 85, of Springdale, died Nov. 17, 2018, at Shiloh Nursing and Rehab in Springdale. She was born April 7, 1933, in Gentry, Ark., to Charles Wesley Shay and Florence Fern Porter Shay.

She was the third of four children. She graduated from Gentry High School in 1951. She married her sweetheart Louis Marian McJunkin on Nov. 6, 1953. Lois was a loving wife, who supported her husband in all that he did, including all 15 years in the state Legislatur­e.

She was a wonderful, nurturing and devoted mother to two sons, Steven Leon and Charles Kent. She was a leader, and was very involved in many ladies auxiliarie­s and organizati­ons. She was an active member of Springdale Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She loved to be with her family, especially spending time with her grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Charles Wesley Shay, Jr. and sister Joyce Shay Hamby; husband Louis McJunkin and son Steve McJunkin.

She is survived by her son, Kent and wife Linda McJunkin; daughter-in-law Tracey McJunkin-Modlin; three grandchild­ren, Adam McJunkin and wife Tamara, Kristie and husband Ray Hernandez and Heather McJunkin, as well as three great-grandchild­ren. She

is also survived by her brother Gerald Shay of Gentry, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Pastor Larry Graber officiatin­g. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery.

YSTILWELL, Okla. — Willa Dean Hutcherson, 88, of Stilwell, Okla., went to meet her Lord, Nov. 16, 2018, at the Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale, Ark. She was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Cyril, Okla., the daughter of the late William Roy and Mattie May Bynum Sanders.

Willa Dean was married to Norris Hutcherson of Commerce, Texas, who preceded her in death in 1982. She was also preceded by one daughter, Deena Jean Hutcherson.

She was a member of Wauhillau Free Holiness Church in Stilwell, Okla.; loved cooking and making Christmas candy for her family and was well loved by everyone.

She is survived by two children, Janice Martin and husband Dorsey of Springdale, Ark., and Jerry Wayne Hutcherson and wife Jam of Kansas City, Kan.; one sister, Shirley Savage and husband Lindsey of Castleton, Va.; grandchild­ren, Rodney Martin and wife Charlotte of Springdale, Ark., Redonna Kelly and husband Glen of Newbern, N.C., Rusty Martin and wife Michelle of Kansas, Okla.; Jared Hutcherson and wife Jennifer of Grapevine, Texas, and Steven Hutcherson of Duncanvill­e, Texas; six great grandchild­ren and one uncle, Edsel Pool of Chickasha, Okla.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at 1 p.m., at Free Holiness Church, 512 Mountain View Ave., Springdale, Arkansas, with Rev. Lindsey Savage and Pastor David Harrison officiatin­g, under the direction of

Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Ave., Springdale, Ark., 72762. Burial will follow in Dutch Mills Cemetery, Lincoln, Ark. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.

YEAST STROUDSBUR­G, Pa. — Muriel Jean (Mickey) Theall (nee Gillies) Smith, a longtime resident of Eureka Springs, died peacefully in East Stroudsbur­g, Pa., on Nov. 3, 2018.

Born in Houston, Texas, Mickey was a graduate of Dominican College in Houston. She married T. Robert (Bob) Theall, who passed away in 1970. She later married Ronald R. (Ron) Smith, and they raised their combined seven children in Houston before retiring to Eureka Springs in 1981.

Mickey spent several years working for the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce, and continued to be busy even in retirement. She was an avid bridge player, active member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, ECHO, the Ozarks Chorale and Carnegie Public Library.

Advancing dementia forced her move closer to family in late 2017, but the last year was as full and happy as possible.

She was preceded in death by Bob Theall, Ron Smith and son Kevon, Mickey is survived by children Ron, Susie, Erick, Lyle, Karen and Craig, their spouses and significan­t others, 11 grandchild­ren and 14 great-grandchild­ren.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Eureka Springs, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, with luncheon to follow at the Parish Center on Passion Play Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributi­ons in Mickey’s honor to the Carnegie Public Library, 194 Spring St., Eureka Springs, Ark., 72632.
