BELLA VISTA — Gwynn Vaughan Davis, 62, of Bella Vista, passed away Dec. 8, 2018, after a recent cancer diagnosis. Gwynn was born on Dec. 30, 1955, in Little Rock, Ark. She was the daughter of Wallace Carrol Vaughan and Carolyn Sulser Vaughan, of Little Rock, who preceded her in death.

Gwynn is survived by her daughters, Leigh Allison Davis of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and Lindsay Davis Lookadoo of Bentonvill­e, Ark.; her granddaugh­ters, Addilyn Grace and Genevieve Taylor Lookadoo and her sonin-law Brian Lookadoo; her siblings, Wallace C. Vaughan Jr. of Montgomery, Ala., Terry Vaughan of Fayettevil­le, Ark., and Reggie Pogue of Little Rock, Ark. In addition, her surviving family includes her sister-in-law and life-long friend Chris Vaughan, brother-in-law, Tim Gilster and nephews, Wallace C. Vaughan and Edward Alon Pogue.

Gwynn was a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s in Little Rock and University of Arkansas Medical Center with a nurse practition­er’s degree and master’s degree in nursing gerontolog­y. She spent most of her life in Little Rock and was employed by Baptist Medical Systems for the last 10-plus years.

Previously, Gwynn was a leading pioneer in Alzheimer’s research and patient care, including opening and managing the Kenneth J. Pennebaker Center in North Little Rock. She was an avid gardener, lover of science fiction movies, a voracious reader and most of all … “YaYa” to her two granddaugh­ters.

The family will hold a memorial celebratio­n receiving friends and family at US Pizza in Fayettevil­le, Ark., on Saturday, Dec. 15 from noon until 3 p.m. The family is asking that drought tolerant plants are sent in lieu of flowers, for the planting of a memorial succulents garden at the home of her daughter and son-inlaw, Lindsay and Brian Lookadoo. FARMINGTON — Darla Kay Shelley, age, 60, a resident of Farmington, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018. She was born March 23, 1958, in Magazine, Ark., the daughter of Chester and Wanda Nell (Frost) Young.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Melissa Shelley, James and Lauren Shelley and Jesse and Ashley Shelley; four grandchild­ren, Alexis, Austin, Emma and Kennedy Shelley; three sisters, Wanda Lee Burnett, Shirley Wolfe and Sharon Bratt and three brothers, Jim Young, Bill Young and Larry Young.

The family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. Burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held. FAYETTEVIL­LE — Voyle Blevins “Butch” Mitchell, age 70, of Fayettevil­le, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, in Fayettevil­le. He was born Jan. 6, 1948, in Fort Smith, Ark., the son of John D. and Arvina Blevins Mitchell.

He retired from the Veterans Administra­tion Medical Center in Fayettevil­le in 2010 after 44 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by three daughters, Sheila Mitchell of Fayettevil­le, Julie Worlow and her husband Brett of Fayettevil­le and Kristy Wolfenbarg­er and her husband Gary of Fayettevil­le; a son, Keith Starnes and his wife Jennifer of Fayettevil­le; a sister, Flora June Lyon of Farmington; a brother, Bob Mitchell and his wife Carolyn of Fort Worth, Texas, and 11 grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be 1 p.m.2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at Moore’s Chapel followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Son’s Chapel Cemetery. HACKETT — Joy (Needham) Hill, 94, of Hackett, Ark., formerly of Scranton, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, in Fort Smith. ROGERS—Don G. Parker, 85, of Rogers passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, at Promenade Health and Rehab in Rogers. He was born Sept. 9, 1933, in Malvern, Ark. His parents were Howell Webb and Mamie Parker Webb.

Don served honorably in the U.S. Navy where he was a boxer and on the first supply ship in the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Arkansas. He worked for the Internal Revenue Service. He owned and operated ADP Realty where he was a real estate broker and developer for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, great grandfathe­r and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Vernard Webb, Orville Webb, Lindell Webb and Odell Webb, one sister, Sue McCool and one granddaugh­ter Deidra Dawn Parker. Survivors include his wife, Linda Parker of 44 years; three sons, Max Parker and Mike Parker both of Fayettevil­le and Louis Parker of Alexander, Arkansas; one daughter, Alicia Wilgus of Bentonvill­e; two brothers, Lionel Webb of Alexander, Arkansas and Charles Webb of Poyen, Arkansas; two sisters, Carolyn Stuckey of Poyen, Arkansas and Marguerite Morrison of Van Buren; 11 grandchild­ren, and five great-grandchild­ren.

SILOAM SPRINGS — Henrietta “Hennie” Williamson, 93, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Dec. 11, 2018, at Katherine’s Place, Fayettevil­le, Ark. Born Aug. 4, 1925, in Fremont, Ohio, she was the daughter of Frank Sipsma and Grace Voss Sipsma.

Henrietta married Jack Williamson on Sept. 19, 1948, and they moved to the Northwest Arkansas area in 1967 from Arizona.

Survivors include her son, Stephen Williamson and wife Mary of Fort Smith, Ark.; daughter Sandra Williamson and husband Bob of Siloam Springs, Ark.; five grandchild­ren, Michael, Jenny, Chris, Mercedes and Lee and her sister Jennie Hill of Fremont, Ohio.

SPRINGDALE — Irwin Hal Brown, age 71, passed away on Dec. 11, 2018. He was born Dec. 11, 1947, in Fayettevil­le, Ark., the son of Spencer and Marie Brown.

Hal loved the Lord, his family, the natural world, and all children. He shared his love and knowledge of nature with children of all ages at the Lake Fayettevil­le Environmen­tal Study Center, where he taught and directed for 25 years. He and his family lived in Hogeye, Ark., in a passive solar house he built himself.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sara Brown, brother, Spencer Brown of Tulsa, daughter, Mery Burgener and her husband Matt of Kansas City, son, Joel Brown and his wife Laura of Denver, and three grandchild­ren: Reese and Kate Burgener and Oliver Hal Brown.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 18 at Goshen United Methodist Church, 122 East Highway 45, Goshen, Ark.
