THE SCOOP Holt moved from receiver to quarterback this season and helped lead the Bulldogs to another state title, throwing for 3,037 yards and rushing for a team-high 858 and combining for 44 touchdowns (23 passing, 21 rushing) while throwing only two interceptions. … He caught 101 passes for 1,354 yards and 17 TDs as a junior to help his team to a state championship.

DID YOU KNOW? Holt is a Louisiana-Lafayette baseball signee in addition to being a standout football player. He gave former teammate Connor Noland, a freshman at Arkansas and Holt’s quarterback a year ago, a call after a season-opening loss to Fort Smith Northside seeking guidance and the Bulldogs didn’t lose again. Holt is also an admitted Fortnite addict.

QUOTABLE “This year, I feel like begin the quarterback it’s not all in your hands, but it kinda is. If you do so many things wrong the game can turn out a different way. I feel like there was obviously pressure. I felt like I played a big part in it. It’s great especially being at Greenwood with all the past quarterbacks being able to be in that classification of being a Greenwood quarterback. There’s no better feeling than winning state. It was emotional and fun.”
