Rosalie Olson, aged 97, passed on to her Lord on Jan. 1. She was born and raised in Manhattan, Kan., and graduated from Kansas State University.
She and husband of 67 years, Ted, who preceded her in death in 2016, were 30-year residents of Bella Vista, Ark.
Previous to moving to Bella Vista, Beth and Ted lived in Platte Woods and Weatherby Lake, Mo., where they raised three children. Beth was the Food Service Director of Park Hill Schools for many years.
She is survived by daughter, JoAnn (Lionel) Helweg; sons, Bill (Abby) Olson, and James Olson; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A service is to be held at Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, Ark., on Monday, Jan. 7, with a reception at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m.

BELLA VISTA — Jan Schweitzer, 82, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away Dec. 31, 2018. She was born Sept. 15, 1936 in rural Adrian, Minn., area to Ray Koobs and Anna Lingbeck.
Jan attended elementary and high school in Ellsworth, Minn. She was a member of the Zion Presbyterian Church in Ellsworth, where she sang in the adult choir and directed the children’s choir. She attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D., where she played in the band, Sioux Falls Symphony and sang in the college choir. Jan moved to Sioux Falls in 1957 becoming a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. She sang in two choirs, was Mark Twain Elementary School PTA President and president of Sioux Falls, S.D., City Council PTA. While in Sioux Falls, she worked for Northwestern Bell Company, Sears and Western Surety/ CNA Surety. She belonged to Christian Women’s Club and was active in the Boys & Girls Club productions.
Jan married Roger Hanson June 6, 1958, in Ellsworth, Minn. On Aug. 11, 1977, she married Dick Schweitzer in Sioux Falls. They moved to Bella Vista, Ark., in May 2000, where she worked part-time at BV POA General Office. She was a member of the Sanctuary Hand Bell Choir, served as Shepherd Leader, Stephen Minister, member of CCWM, Prayer Fellowship, Ministry of Church Growth and Nominating Committee. She was a member of the Bella Vista Women’s Choir, the board of Church Women United, board of Live on Stage and board of Bella Vista Welcome Club and Symphony Choir. Jan loved music and sang with other church choirs. She felt it was a wonderful way to praise God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick in 2008; her parents; one sister, Jeanine Crist; one brother, David Ray; and a great-grandson, Theo Bedinger.
Jan is survived by two sons, Brian Hanson (Luann) and Brad Hanson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; six stepchildren, Bob Schweitzer of Grand Rapids, Mich., LuAnn Carlson (Jeff) of Grand Rapids, Dawn Hill/Young (Dale) of Sparta, Mich., Laura Pokora (Scott) of Rockford, Mich., Tony Schweitzer (Laura) of Comstock Park, Mich. and Sherry Hess (Mike) of Grand Rapids; one sister, Joyce Hickman (Robert) of Duluth, Minn.; brother-in-law, Lawrence Crist of Cherokee, Iowa; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 16 step-great-grandchildren; eight brothers and sistersin-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be
held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 5th at Bella Vista Community Church with Dr. Jeff reed officiating.

DANVILLE — Ila Fern Latham, age 86, of Danville, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at Deerview Nursing Center in Ola. She was born July 29, 1932, in Atkins to Bill and Bertha May Baughman Banks.
She was a caregiver for many years, traveling to Dallas, Texas, to care for clients. She later served as a caregiver closer to home. She loved sewing and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Hoyle, Donald Wayne, Berman and Bobby Banks; and two sisters, Billie Sue Latham and Jessie Boaz.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Latham Robinson; two brothers, Jimmy and Doyle Banks; a sister and brother-in-law, Patsy Sue and Mosie Jordan; a sister-inlaw, Juanita Banks; and many other relatives and friends.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.

FARMINGTON — William Elmer Allen, age 95, a resident of Farmington, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born May 10, 1923, in Goodland, Ind., the son of John Samuel and Druzie Jane (Whipkey) Allen.
William retired from the United States Army after 25 years of service in both the Army and Air Force. He served from World War II through Vietnam and received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rubye Gold Allen; two sisters, Dora and Clara; and one brother, Richard.
Survivors include his daughters, Melinda Braslavsky, Jennifer Dirrigl and Katherine Minx; one sister, Louise Miller; eight grandchildren William Matthew Braslavsky, Melissa Lougina Braslavsky, Timothy Michael Braslavsky, Anjeanette Minx, Hubert “Sonny” Minx III, Jason Minx, Alice Minx and Benjamin Minx; six great-grandchildren Matthew, Jarek, Lillian, Allison, Micah and Kellin.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, 2-4 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

J. Ethridge, age 87, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, in Springdale. He was born Jan. 25, 1931, in Ogemaw, Ark., the son of Garland and Ruth Upton Ethridge.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Joe Ethridge; two brothers Gladston and Reid; and a sister, Jo.
He was retired from real estate and car sales.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Ethridge; two daughters, Linda Bowles and her husband Bob of Rogers and Misty Guy and her husband Richard of Waco, Texas; two sons, Terry Ethridge and his wife Kathy of Lenior City, Tenn., and Dr. Mark Ethridge and his wife Jennifer of Allen, Texas; a sister, Ramona Davison of
Bearden, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Pam Kachenchai and her husband Tony, Amelia Zique, Maddie Ethridge, Allie Ethridge, Ainsley Guy, Abby Ethridge, Aubrey Guy, Conrey Guy and Henry Guy; and two great-grandchildren, Katie Kachenchai and Karma Kachenchai.

Barbara Ann Williams, 79, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at North Hills Life Care and Rehab. She was born Oct. 8, 1939, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Alfred Jefferson Satterlee and Imogene Thompson Satterlee. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Carl “Wayne” Williams. She is survived by her three children, Debra Neil and husband Tony of Springdale, Carla McLarty and husband Mark of Fayetteville, and Michael Williams and wife Kim of Corpus Christi Texas; her sister, Carol Kimbrough of Sapula, Okla., and six grandchildren. GARFIELD — Edna
Marie Weston, 74, of Garfield, Ark., passed away Dec. 30, 2018, at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Oct. 2, 1944, in Monte Ne, Ark., to John Ennis and Martha Castor Ennis.
She worked for the Bentonville School System managing cafeterias for over 18 years and loved all the children she grew acquainted with over the years.
Edna was a wonderful wife, mother and her family knew they meant the world to her. She liked to fish and enjoyed the casinos.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Johnny Ennis.
Edna is survived by her husband of 52 years, Garry Weston; four children, Marcia Light and husband, Kenneth of Washburn, Mo., Ronald Weston of Garfield, Kevin Weston and wife, Brooke of Pea Ridge, Ark., Aaron Weston of Garfield; one brother, Clarence Ennis of Rogers, Ark.; one sister, Loretta Nix of Rogers; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, 2018, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.

HUNTSVILLE — Artie Earnestine Stamps Phipps
Gipson, 81, of Huntsville went home to be with our Lord on Jan. 1, 2019, at 6:20 a.m. She was born on Nov. 5, 1937, to Ernest Eugene and Bessie Faye (Fritts) Stamps in Hindsville, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Edgar L. Gipson; two grandsons, Michael Phipps and Matthew Maeur; one great-grandson, Dakota Burgess; one great-granddaughter, Brianna Phipps; her parents, Ernest and Bessie Stamps; three brothers, Luther, Elton and Jerry Dean; and one sister, Anna Hofarth.
She is survived by one son, Garry D. Phipps of Springdale, Ark.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Phillis C. and Drew Whitlow of Huntsville, Ark., and Susan E. and Jimmie Butts of Kailua, Hawaii; four brothers, J.L., Alfred, Liga and Henry Stamps, all of Springdale, Ark.; one sister, Sue Carol Dozier of Springdale, Ark.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Graveside services will be Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale with Chaplain Chuck Bengston officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.

James Elmer Farley, 91, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Jan. 1, 2019, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital. Born Sept. 13, 1927, in Weddington, Ark., he was the son of James Alton Farley and Hazel M. McClain Farley.
James married Ruth Ag- new on June 16, 1948, and he worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He served our country in the Navy during World War II and the Army during Korea. James was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Benton County Democrats, Northwest Arkansas Senior Democrats and was of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include his children, Diana Greenberg and husband Paul of Long Beach, Calif., Jim Farley and wife Jeanne of Carthage, Mo., Tom Farley of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Steve Farley and wife Donna Siloam Springs, Ark.; grandchildren, Jamie Montes de Orca of Pasadena, Calif., George Greenberg of Hollywood, Calif., and Ashley Long of Springdale, Ark.; great-grandchildren, Shannon Long, Milo Skewes, Paul Montes de Orca and Oliver Greenberg; sister, Gwen Horton of Tulsa, Okla.

SPRINGDALE — Deborah Lynn “Debbie”
Rodgers, 60, of Springdale, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2018. She was born May 3, 1958, in Springdale to Junior Cecil and Noma Jewel Scott Starling.
Debbie was an office administrator for many years in Springdale for Dr. Sisco, then Northwest Medical Center, and finally at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She loved and was loved by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents, Paul and Ethel Scott.
Survivors include her aunts and uncle, Betty Jo Scott, Judy Austin, Paul Wayne and Frankie Scott; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, at Heritage Funeral Home.

SPRINGDALE — Erma Lynn (Breashears)
Venable, age 77, born May 5, 1941, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018.
She was a longtime resident of Springdale, Ark., but was raised in Vian, Okla., and graduated from Vian High School. She married Lewis Venable and then attended cosmotology school before opening her own hair salon. Erma had three children and moved to Springdale where she went to work for Southwestern Bell, the company she eventually retired from. She loved her faith and was a member of Elmdale Baptist Church. She had too many interests to list all of them, but she was a handyman extraordinaire and loved reading mysteries, cooking, sewing, painting and taking care of her dogs, Turbo, Bella and Maddy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, William L. “Lewis” Venable, III; her daughter, Mary Sue Venable; half-sister, Patty Ann Pasquarett; parents, Glenna (Duty) and Gary Breashears; and her grandparents, Bessie (Littlejohn) and Walter Breashears.
She is survived by two children, William L. “Bill” Venable IV and his wife, Josephine of Tulsa, Okla., and Michele R. Smith and her husband, Steven of Broken Arrow, Okla.; four grandchildren, Rocky, Vanessa, William V. “Quint” and Courtney; 12 great-grandchildren, Rocky, Sylvanna, Tiana, Natalia, Analise, Gunner, Layla, Emery, Jesse, Lilah, Clara and soon to be born, William VI “Liam.”
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Okla.

WEST FORK — Robert Wayne Counts, 77, of West Fork, Ark., died Jan. 1, 2019, at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville, Ark., surrounded by loved ones. He was born Oct. 2, 1941, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Billy and Zelma (Kirksey) Counts.
Wayne started out as a butcher at Hawkins Meat Company. He was a meat manager at Southgate IGA in Fayetteville, Ark., for a few years. He was also a butcher at Mhoon Beef Company. He enjoyed camping with his family and trout fishing at Roaring River Stake Park. He loved mowing and weed-eating his immaculate yard. He also took great pride in his beautiful vegetable garden, and loved to share his bountiful harvest with family and friends. Wayne was a member of the Round Mountain Community Church in Fayetteville, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Zelma Counts, and granddaughter, Heather Marie Omohundro.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Darlene of the home; daughter, Dianne (Larry) Omohundro of West Fork, Ark.; and one grandson, Dwayne (Jessica) Omohundro of Elkins, all of who he was very proud of.
The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. at the Round Mountain Community Church in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at 10 a.m. at the church with Pastor Tim Beers officiating.
