ELKINS — James Louis Trollinger, age 76, of Elkins, Arkansas passed away Friday January 4, 2019 in Fayettevil­le. He was born April 10, 1942 in Fayettevil­le, Arkansas to Louis and Clara Atterberry Trollinger. He retired from Campbell Soup after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Michael Alvarado.

He is survived by his wife Kay Trollinger; two daughters, Shelly Trollinger Lackey (Doug) of Evansville, Arkansas and Jamie Trollinger Lara (Sam) of Elkins, Arkansas; two sisters, Carolyn Jungels, Marilyn Aurand; seven brothers, Johnny Trollinger, Franklin Trollinger, Ron Trolinger, Joe Trollinger, Pete Trollinger, John Trollinger, Lee Hood; four grandchild­ren, Alicia Marshall, Courtney Alvarado, Shelby Lackey, Brandon Gage and four great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be 1 p.m.–2 p.m. Wednesday January 9, 2019 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moore’s Chapel with burial to follow at Baptist Ford Cemetery.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Roy Clifton “Cliff” Tarvin, Jr., age 61, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019, in Fayettevil­le. He was born on October 31, 1957, in Greenville, Mississipp­i, to Roy C., Sr. and Jean Cooley Tarvin. He is preceded in death by his father.

Cliff graduated from Montrose Academy in Montrose, Arkansas, and then went on to graduate from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado. He was a 32nd degree mason at the Portland Masonic Lodge.

Cliff loved horses and his favorite were Apaloosas. He enjoyed flying, snow skiing, cars, music and attending concerts. He could always be found working on a project and had a gift for improving anything he touches. He was a former employee of the Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his mother, Jean Cooley Tarvin; his brother, Tim Tarvin and Pam Smith; his nephew, Andrew Tarvin and wife Lindsey; his niece, Katie Tarvin; and his three great-nieces and nephews, Will, Lucy and Frances Tarvin.

A visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayettevil­le with a funeral service beginning at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayettevil­le.

ROGERS — Betty L. Files, 81, of Rogers passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Rogers Health and Rehabilita­tion.

She will be celebrated Wednesday, January 9, 2019 beginning at 10am at Monte Ne Baptist Church in Rogers, and interred at Clifty Cemetery.

SPRINGDALE — Melva G. Crittenden (Jean) of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at The Earlene Howard Hospice Home on Sunday, January 6th, 2019. Jean was born on June 1, 1931 in Woolsey, Arkansas, to Floyd S. Pool and Ruby M. Underhill Pool.

She loved gardening including a large iris bed that she was very proud of. She also had a great love for animals and would be sure that all were fed whether they were hers or not.

Hobbies included latch hook rugs, crocheting and embroideri­ng and anything outdoors. In younger days she loved barrel racing and would hook up the horse trailer, load Sadie her horse and head off to a rodeo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and spouse Earl Crittenden.

She is survived by 2 sisters Millie (Milford) Pegram of Gentry, Arkansas, Teresa (Dennis) McCurdy of Springdale, Arkansas, nephew Shane (Brandy) Pegram of Springdale, Arkansas, Michelle (Toby) Smith of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Melissa (Easton) Scott of Whitesboro, Texas, great-niece Savannah (Ty) Kirkland and great-great niece Shyloh Claire Kirkland of Fayettevil­le, Arkansas. She is also survived by her faithful feline companion Bootsie.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 9, 2019 - 2 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel, there will be no graveside services held.
