GRACELAND UNIVERSITY

Graceland University student Jessie Fuller of Coal Hill earned the role of Annabelle Schmidt, Margaret and Pamela in The 39 Steps, a comedy spoof of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 movie of the same name and of British detective plot production­s in general.

MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY­WEST PLAINS

Kaleigh N. Breathitt, Springdale, has been awarded the Grizzly Commemorat­ive Scholarshi­p, the Kissinger Family Grizzly Scholarshi­p, and the Paul and Virginia Brown Grizzly Endowed Scholarshi­p from Missouri State University-West Plains.

Breathitt, a 2018 graduate of Springdale High School, is a freshman at Missouri StateWest Plains who plans to pursue a degree in physical education and exercise science.

She is the daughter of Pat and Sara Breathitt and a member of the university’s Grizzly Volleyball team.

MISSOURI VALLEY COLLEGE

Dallas Hopping of Rogers has been named to the fall 2018 dean’s list at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo. The requiremen­ts for the dean’s list are a 3.3 or higher grade point average; at least 12 graded hours for the semester and no “D,” “F,” or “Incomplete” grades for the semester.

SOUTHERN ARKANSAS UNIVERSITY

Southern Arkansas University announced the names of 290 students who earned a 4.0 GPA for the fall 2018 semester, earning recognitio­n on the SAU president’s list.

Local students honored were: Cheyenne Burdess, senior elementary education (K-6) from Boles; Brittany Galinato, freshman elementary education (K-6) from Booneville; Emily Phillips, senior biological science: wildlife biology and conservati­on from Elkins; Lindsay Nichols, junior elementary education: STEM (K-6) from Harrison; Emily Parker, senior agricultur­al business from Harrison; Bailey Bottoms, senior elementary education (K-6) from Huntsville; Alyssa Duncan, senior psychology from Waldron; and Ashley Tucker, freshman elementary education (K-6) from Waldron.
