Hill got the job done
It is important that I recognize Rep. French Hill and his staff for a job well-done.
In July 2015, an application was made to the VA for disability benefits for hearing loss incurred flying helicopters in the U.S. Navy. The claim was rejected twice and I reached out to another member of the Arkansas congressional delegation for assistance, thinking they would get involved and get it approved; however, I was told they would notify me when the VA made a decision. In July 2016 after the second rejection, I requested a video conference with a judge in D.C. to make my case, for which a date still hasn’t been set.
I met Representative Hill at the Catholic High graduation on May 25, 2018, and explained my issue to him and asked for his assistance. He took my contact information and told me someone would be contacting me. His staff member, Mr. Thomas McNabb, contacted me May 28 to collect the needed information in reference to my case. Needless to say, my case was decided in my favor Jan. 28.
I am grateful and most thankful to Representative Hill and Mr. McNabb for getting involved and bringing this 3½-year case to a positive conclusion.
If you are a veteran and having issues with the VA, I strongly recommend you contact Rep. French Hill’s office.
