CENTERTON — Brian Charles Cunningham, age 43, of Centerton went to be with the Lord on Feb. 20, 2019. He was born on Oct. 28, 1975, in Pine Bluff to Charles and Margaret (Sweeney) Cunningham.

Brian worked as a realty project manager for Walmart. He was a member of First Landmark Baptist Church of Bentonvill­e and was a active member in the children’s ministry. His family was his pride and joy never failing to have a picture or a story to share.

Running became a favorite past-time thanks to a few friends that encouraged him to give it a try. Brian never met a stranger and always had a smile and a kind word. His legacy will live on through his children. He knew the Lord as his Savior and we have comfort in knowing he is with Him in Heaven. John 3:16.

Survivors include his parents; wife Jennifer Cunningham; children Jake, Riley, Caleb, and Kaitlyn Cunningham, all of Centerton; and brother Stephen Cunningham.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparen­ts, Mark and Hazel Sweeney; paternal grandparen­ts Charles and Madie Cunningham; and a sister-in-law Amanda Crawford.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 at First Landmark Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow in Bentonvill­e Cemetery. FAYETTEVIL­LE — Chester Charles Shipman, 96, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019. He was born Sept. 11, 1922, in Newark, Ark., to the late James and Cora Bray Shipman.

His first and second wives preceded him in death, Ruth Moore and Lela Nickell Laney, as well as four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his three children, Mary Alice Macias of Lee’s Summitt, Mo., Chester Shipman Jr. of Mansfield, Texas, and Stan Shipman of Springtown, Texas; two stepchildr­en, Gary Laney of Searcy, Ark., and Jeff Laney of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; three grandchild­ren, seven step-grandchild­ren, three great-grandchild­ren and three step-great-grandchild­ren.

Chester was a World War II veteran serving in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. After the war, he worked and retired as an x-ray technician for the Veterans’ Administra­tion Hospital in Fayettevil­le. He was active in church all his life and believed deeply

in the Lord. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his loving-kindness, amazing sense of humor and positive outlook on life.

The family will hold a private memorial at a later date. Memorials may be sent to Vertical Community Church, Fayettevil­le, Ark.

HOT SPRINGS — William A. “Buddy” Goodrum

Jr., age 76, of Hot Springs, passed away Feb. 18, 2019, after a prolonged illness. He was born on July 27, 1942, in Phoenix, Ariz. Buddy was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Susan Ellis Goodrum; his father, Dr. William A. “Bud” Goodrum; his mother, Winnie Waites Greutter; and his stepfather, Dr. John Greutter.

He is survived by his sons, William A. “Skip” Goodrum III (Courtney) of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Richard A. Goodrum (Sara) of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Michael W. Goodrum (Jeanne) of Deritter, La.; seven grandsons, Patrick, Aidan, Jake, Chase, Graham, Matthew and Aaron; three granddaugh­ters, Annabelle, Holland and Mattie; and his brother, Randy Goodrum (Gail) of Fayettevil­le, Ark.

Buddy was a lifelong resident of Hot Springs. After graduating from Hot Springs High School in 1960, he attended the University of Arkansas and Henderson State University. His career as an industrial engineer in Hot Springs and Little Rock lasted over 30 years.

An avid classic car enthusiast, Buddy owned, restored and collected American hot rods his entire life. He was an antique gun collector, loved riding the backroads of Arkansas with his sons and friends in Jeeps, enjoyed studying Civil War history and visiting battlegrou­nds, and had an encycloped­ic memory of Western movies. He was involved in scouting with all three sons and hosted many campouts with his friends.

A private ceremony will be held at a later time to celebrate Buddy’s life. HUNTSVILLE — Linda Anne King, 81, of Huntsville, died Feb. 20, 2019. She was born Sept. 10, 1937, in Bridgeport, Conn., to James and Anne McQuaid. She is survived by sons Michael Brown and David Brown; seven grandchild­ren, and seven great-grandchild­ren. Cremation is entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.

HUNTSVILLE — Delbert Bryson Sisco, 75, of Huntsville died Feb. 20 at Autumn Hill Nursing Home in Berryville. Survivors are Carla Barrios, Donna Sisco Thibodeaux, Diana Underhill and Wade Sisco. ROGERS — Richard “Rich” F. Coleman, 86, of Rogers, passed away on Feb. 18, 2019. He was born on Feb. 16, 1933, in Coraopolis, Pa. ROGERS — Patricia Sampson, 61, of Rogers, Ark., died Feb.y 16, 2019, in Rogers. Survivors include two daughters, Karen, Leah; her mother, Charleta; six grandchild­ren and two brothers. SPRINGDALE — Sarcha Yuvette Lawson, 72, of Springdale, Ark., was called home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, surrounded by her family.

Sarcha was born on Oct. 2, 1946, in Huntsville, Ark., a daughter of the late Marvin Paul Jones and Olive (Harrington) Jones.

She was an active member of the Old Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Associatio­n for many years. She loved to sing and praise her Savior with her musical talents.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Lawson, daughter Kimberly Dianne Judkins and three brothers.

Sarcha is survived by her four sons, Kenneth Judkins of Springdale, Ark., Brian Lawson and wife Ana of Casa Grande, Ariz., Jimmy Lawson and wife Rebecca of Centerton, Ark., and Allen Lawson and wife Laura of Bella Vista, Ark.; nine grandchild­ren; six great-grandchild­ren; sister Brenda Canfield of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Ark. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at the Mt. SPRINGDALE — James “Mike” Michael McNeese, 74, of Springdale passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born Feb. 17, 1945, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to James and Ruby Porter McNeese.

Mike was a manager for Tyson Foods. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Springdale. He loved playing golf and was known to many as “Mr. Wonderful.”

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lyn McNeese.

Survivors include son James “Brad” Bradley McNeese and wife Candace of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Lisa Charvat and husband Jack of Tulsa, Okla., Jody Keene and husband Jody of Sherwood, Ark., and Jamie Chandler and husband Brandon of Rogers; four brothers, John McNeese and husband John Richardson of Ponca City, Okla., Martin McNeese and wife Martha of Edmond, Okla., Bill McNeese and wife Loa of Houston, Texas, and Hank McNeese and wife Sandy of Ponca City, Okla.; sister Becky McNeese of Edmond, Okla.; nine grandchild­ren, Olivia, Cole, Jacqueline, Cade, Allie, Emma, Adam, Braedon and Lynley and one great-grandchild on the way.

WITTER — Linda Sue Auslam, 71, of Witter died Feb. 20, 2019, in Fayettevil­le. She was born Aug. 20, 1947, in Mena to Luther and Willie Beaver. SELIGMAN , Mo. — Geraldine Ray Gilbertson, 76, of Seligman, Mo., a long-time resident of Northwest Arkansas, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2019. She was born Jan. 4, 1943, to the late Raymond Floyd Mitchell and Lily Kathryn Rodgers Mitchell in Benton County, Ark.

While still an infant, her mother passed away and she was raised with love by her father and step-mother, Phoebe Jean Napier Mitchell, who has also preceded her.

For many years Geraldine owned and operated a bookkeepin­g and tax service, from which she retired, and enjoyed working with her clients. She was also a breeder of boxers. Her family will always remember her love of Elvis, playing bingo, dancing, going to the casino and reading. But, the time shared with her family was always the best!

Survivors include her daughters, JerriAnn Tindle (Scott) of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Diana Kinyon (Ronald) of Siloam Springs, Ark., Kathy Lammi (Neal) of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Trish Bowden of Seligman, Mo.; her son, Michael Bowden of Rogers, Ark.; her sister, Linda Barnes (Bill) of Anderson, Mo.; nine grandchild­ren, 24 great-grandchild­ren, numerous extended family members, business associates and dear friends.
