CLASS 3A REGION 1 AT MOUNTAIN VIEW GIRLS THIRD-PLACE GAME

CHARLESTON 58, LINCOLN 52

Allie Green scored 22 points and Payton Rucker 14 to lead Charleston past Lincoln and the No. 3 seed from the regional heading into the Class 3A state tournament next week.

Jessica Goldman scored 22 to pace the Lady Wolves.

BOYS THIRD-PLACE GAME

CHARLESTON 58, ELKINS 43

Blaine Rowland scored 18 points to lead Charleston past Elkins in a thirdplace game.

Jacob Green added 14 points and Brayden Ross 13 for the Tigers. Kian Johnson scored 13 points to lead Elkins.

CLASS 3A REGION 2 AT PERRYVILLE GIRLS CHAMPIONSH­IP

CAC 67, LAMAR 57

CAC had too much firepower for Lamar and rolled to the regional title as four players scored in double-figures.

Bethany Dillard led the way with 21 points. Ava Knoedl scored 16, Brittney Williams 15 and Madyson Bowman finished with 13.

Lakyn Sanders scored a game-high 24 points for Lamar and Amber Brown scored 14.

THIRD-PLACE

ATKINS 68, TWO RIVERS 61

Atkins dug itself a deep hole in the first quarter, but managed to climb out to claim third place and the No. 3 seed in this week’s Class 3A state tournament.

Two Rivers scored 25 first-quarter points to take a 25-10 lead, but the Lady Red Devils did not blink. Atkins trailed 36-27 at halftime, then held Two Rivers to just five points in the third quarter to take a 42-41 lead into the fourth quarter, where the Lady Red Devils were able to extend it.

Ashton Dillard scored 10 of her 20 points in the fourth quarter for Atkins. Lindsay Cox finished with 14 and Mary Kate Brown 13.

Kaitlin Hunnicutt scored a game-high 30 for the Lady Gators, including 21 in the first half before she fouled out with under a minute left. Somer Frost drilled five 3-pointers and finished with 20 points for Two Rivers.

BOYS CHAMPIONSH­IP

BAPTIST PREP 69, MAYFLOWER 66

Issac McBride would not let his team lose in Saturday’s championsh­ip game.

The Kansas signee scored 42 points, hit five 3-pointers and was 16 of 17 at the free-throw line to lead Baptist Prep, who almost gave up a huge lead in the fourth quarter as Mayflower scored 25 points in the final eight minutes.

Tyler Tolliver scored 24 points for Mayflower and Braxtyn McCuien had 21. Jay Nance finished with 11.

THIRD-PLACE

BOONEVILLE 50, FOUNTAIN LAKE 38 The Bearcats rebounded from Friday’s semifinals loss to lock down the No. 3 seed as Logan Bradley scored a gamehigh 20 points.

Grant Goer added 13 for Booneville Jordan Mungle scored 16 to pace Fountain Lake.

CLASS 2A WEST REGIONAL AT DANVILLE GIRLS CHAMPIONSH­IP

DANVILLE 63, LAVACA 55 (OT)

The host Lady Little Johns outscored Lavaca 12-4 in overtime to claim the championsh­ip of the 2A-West Regional on Saturday.

Danville staged a furious fourth-quarter rally that turned a 10-point deficit into a 51-51 tie at the end of regulation.

Hally Rial and Lydia Hemley each scored four points in overtime for Danville. Alexis Minnie led the Lady Little Johns with 21 points. Hemley finished with 19 and Rial 16.

Lavaca hit 10 3-pointers in the game and led 47-37 at the end of the third quarter, but managed just four points in the fourth quarter and four in overtime.

Julienne O’Dell scored 14 points for Lavaca. Hope Headley scored 13 and Sierra Lamb 11.

THIRD PLACE

COTTER 62, HECTOR 42

Cotter claimed the No. 3 seed as three players scored in double-figures.

Kate Cheek led the way for Cotter with 18 points. Sam Sanchez scored 17 and Kayle Cranover 16

Courtney Burnett scored 14 for Hector.

BOYS CHAMPIONSH­IP

EUREKA SPRINGS 32, YELLVILLE-SUMMIT 31

The Highlander­s didn’t score a lot of points, but they gave up even fewer to win the regional championsh­ip.

Carter Drennon led Eureka Springs with 9 and Garrett Cross scored 8.

JT Frazier had 17 of Yellville-Summit’s 31 points.

THIRD PLACE

MOUNTAINBU­RG 65, FLIPPIN 50

The Dragons earned the No. 3 seed from the 2A-West Regional as Sean Irvan torched the nets for a game-high 31 points.

Mountainbu­rg hit nine 3-pointers in the game. Waylon Cluck added 11 points.

Dale Smyser scored 15 for Flippin and Lance May added 13.

CLASS 1A REGION 2 AT CALICO ROCK GIRLS THIRD PLACE

MAMMOTH SPRINGS 60, MAYNARD 55

Lauren Mitchell scored 22 points to lead Mammoth Springs past Maynard.

Sybell Howison had 18 for Maynard.

BOYS THIRD PLACE

CALICO ROCK 61, WESTERN GROVE 53

Logan Dickerson scored 16 points to lead Calico Rock over Western Grove.

Hunter Baker had 14 for Western Grove.
