Bella Vista sets the standard for senior living in northwest Arkansas. Nestled amongst picturesque woodlands while offering sweeping vistas of the adjoining valleys, our 26-acre campus has been home to active retirees for over 46 years. And while the view is breathtaking, it’s our service that makes us special. Concordia offers a full range of activities and services for active seniors in a secure, uplifting homelike atmosphere.

Whether it’s dressing up for one of our monthly theme nights, popping out for a round of golf at one of the nearby courses, walking the dog on the beautifully landscaped grounds or hopping on the van for a quick jaunt to town, Concordia residents take retirement living to a whole new level.

“This is a place of vitality for active retirees,” explains Executive Director Lou Suski. “They don’t want to maintain their house anymore. Nor do they want to take care of a yard. While still independent and vibrant, they want, and quite frankly need, more social interaction. We provide a wide variety of activities every day, both here and off campus.”

“We are truly an independent living community. There seems to be a misconception in the Bella Vista community that we are primarily assisted living or a nursing home. We are not,” Lou points out. “While we offer a Catered Living option (which provides more services), almost 90% of our units are for independent living. We offer spacious apartments and beautiful town houses for seniors who want more out of life.”

Lou lists the many perks that come with Concordia’s independent living apartments and town houses. “We provide weekly cleaning, timely maintenance, round the clock security and engaging activities on a daily basis. For those who no longer drive, we offer regular transportation for shopping as well as doctor and other appointments. We have a nurse on staff to provide assistance when needed,” he says. “Our dining room serves outstanding meals that our residents just rave about. One resident commented that ‘even the Brussel sprouts taste good!’ In a nutshell, we do the work so you don’t have to!”

For Lou and the staff at Concordia, that translates into a mission.

“We have a responsibility and an obligation to allow each resident to live their best life. We want them to have as much fun and enjoyment as possible. We take away the little worries of everyday life.” For more information about Concordia, visit their website: concordiaretirement.com or call to arrange a visit: (479) 855-3714
