ALPENA 62, EMERSON 49

The Leady Leopards (32-4) moved into today’s semifinals by cruising past the Lady Pirates (31-5).

Kayleigh Armer led Alpena with 17 points, Alex Hill tallied 16, and Abby Dean and Maddy Milburn each had 12.

Chasity Jones led Emerson with 17 points and Cassidy Jones added 13.

CONCORD 54, JASPER 50

Concord will make its first appearance in the state semifinals after holding off Jasper.

Jasper (27-11) was up 12-4 when Concord (25-9) went to its full-court pressure defense, sparking a 14-0 run to take an 18-12 lead that turned into a 22-17 halftime edge.

Concord took a 34-28 lead into the fourth quarter and eventually led 46-34 on a three-point play by Ashlyn Deckard with 3:16 to play. Jasper made a late push, getting within 48-46 with 24.8 seconds, but Concord made six consecutiv­e free throws down the stretch.

Deckard finished with 18 points to lead Concord, while Lizzie White tallied 15 and Avery Southerlan­d added 10.

Taylor Davidson led Jasper with 16 points and Emma Lewis added 14.

WONDERVIEW 59, VIOLA 37

The Lady Daredevils (32-6) advanced to their eighth consecutiv­e semifinal appearance by blowing open what was a tight game in the third quarter.

Wonderview led 16-11 after one quarter, 25-17 at the half and were up 32-24 late in the third quarter before finishing it with a 7-0 run. The Lady Daredevils continued to pull away in the final quarter.

Faith Byers led Wonderview with 16 points, while Kailey Gullett and Mallory Jones each added 11.

Lindsey Browning led Viola (34-8) with 13 points and Braidlyn Fierce added 12.
