**things to like

*educated guess 1 Purse $26,000, 1 1/16 miles, fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up which have never won two races, claiming $16,000

**PADDY O was a clear two-turn maiden allowance winner just two races back at Remington. He is dropping in class and is back in the hands of winning trainer Kevin Peek after a trip to Delta Downs.

LA FEE VERTE made a middle move before tiring a bit late in her first route of the season. She is dropping in class and appears the one to catch and beat. SUNDEREYA was beaten less than 1 length at a higher level in November at Churchill, and she may not have cared for muddy conditions in her local debut. PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

1 Paddy O Quinonez Peek 12-1

6 La Fee Verte Court Lukas 2-1 4 Sundereya Thompson Barkley 7-2 2 Undivided Sanjur Matthews 4-1

MORNING

BELLE has only hit the board in one of seven races, but she is dropping to the lowest price of her career. She does have competitive Beyer figures. SHELL LOCKET finished a solid third in a maiden allowance race at the end of her Remington season. She is another showing steady improvement and spotted to contend. PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

3 Data Star Lara Medrano 7-2 5 Morning Belle Elliott Hobby 9-2 2 Shell Locket Roman Von Hemel 5-1 7 Princess Z Ohsix Birzer Smith 5-2 4 Between the Arches Eramia Petalino 8-1 8 Shiverhertimbers Wethey Villafranco 8-1 1 Residual Sugar FDe La Cruz McBride 10-1 9 Della Rose Quinonez Von Hemel15-1 6 Enticing Haven WDe La Cruz Martin 15-1 3 Purse $33,000, 1 1/16 mile, fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up which have never won two races, claiming $30,000 ***DICTATE COOL is adding blinkers following a competitive third-place finish at Fair Grounds, and the Brad Cox trainee is dropping into a softer conditioned-claiming race. REGAL SERENADE was a clear maiden winner only two races back at Fair Grounds. The versatile filly also is dropping in class and drew an advantageous post. TURKMENISTAN has rallied in consecutive third-place finishes at this level, and may not get the fast pace she needs to defeat the top two. PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

EXOTIC POSSIBILITIES

PADDY O will be a good price in the first race so I recommend keying her in an early double with four or five runners in the second race. The sixth race begins a 50-cent Pick-4, and TIPAZAR and U.S.

CURRENCY should be enough to cover the race. The seventh race is competitive and spreading out is wise. The eighth has only seven runners, but a case can be made for most of them. The ninth race brings a full field, and I see four contenders.

4 Purse $22,500, 51/2 furlongs, 4-year-olds and up, claiming $8,000

**** GOOGLEADO has won six of his last seven races. He possesses excellent early speed and is perfectly spotted by trainer Karl Broberg. HUNTER’S HUNTER ships from Delta on the heels of a 6-length victory, and he was stake-placed last fall at Remington. ROCK N’ CANDY was badly overmatched and caught a muddy surface in his first race current connections, but he is well spotted today and should work out a favorable tracking trip. ***RUSTY CAGE set a rapid early pace and held on well in a promising career debut victory. The race has produced multiple next-out winners, and this one is likely to improve with the experience.

BANDIT POINT finished third behind a pair of talented and experienced statebred rivals Feb. 22, and this field may not be as good. SMELLIN CANDY was a 7-length maiden winner last season at Oaklawn. She had a useful return from vacation time and could prove trouble from near the lead. PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

She received a confidence lift when the winner (Awe Emma) came back with a sharp allowance victory. TIPAZAR crossed the finish line less than 1 length behind the top selection. She drew an improved post and is switching to a leading rider. DROP DEAD

GORGEOUS has been competitive in a pair of quality maiden allowance races. She is

lightly raced and likely to show continued improvement. PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

1 It Is the Season Cabrera Lukas 30-1 7 Purse $23,000, 6 furlongs, 3-yearolds and up, claiming $10,000 **SUPER SYD is moving up a claiming condition following a determined stalkand-pounce victory, which earned the field’s fastest last race Beyer figure. He has found his niche as a sprinter. SPA

SHACKALACKA cleared his previous claiming condition just two back at Santa Anita, and he is back sprinting after a useful front-running route effort. HOT

ITEM has finished third in three consecutive races at this claiming condition, and he was a two-time winner at Oaklawn during the 2017 season. PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

**DORRANCE has raced well in two route races following a clear career debut sprint victory at Remington. He recorded a sharp recent work and he may have a bright future sprinting. JACK VAN

BERG is a very quick colt who finished 3 lengths in front of the top selection two races back. He also is cutting back to a sprint after setting a lively pace and tiring badly. ROYAL DAAHER made every pole a winning one in a clear maiden allowance victory. He is talented and may be part of a contentious pace battle. PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

7 Dorrance Eramia Trout 5-2

**CALLE PATRON broke awkwardly and raced wide in a deceptively good fifthplace finish, which followed a long layoff. He has trained very well all meeting and may improve markedly with a good break. TAPIT STAR finished second in the same race as the top selection. The winner has excellent speed and this one is the one to beat. GONE DANCING is moving up after a troubled and fast-closing second-place finish. He is having blinkers removed. PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS
