Amy Fisher, John Brown University’s director of human resources, received the HR Professional of the Year award from the Northwest Arkansas Human Resources Association. Fisher has an MBA in leadership and ethics. She began her career at JBU as a student accounts representative before becoming director of human resources, risk management and government relations. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification and is a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional.
Suzanne Wachsstock is Walmart Inc.’s new chief antitrust counsel. She was vice president and chief antitrust counsel for American Express. Wachsstock is active in the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association and serves as co-chairwoman of the Corporate Counseling Committee and member of the Big Data Task Force. She is also a member of the Antitrust Council of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Antitrust Section. She earned her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and her Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University.
Paul Dobbs, APRN, joined Baptist Health Cardiology Center-Fort Smith. Dobbs, who has been a nurse at the hospital since 2012, earned a master’s degree of science in nursing from Chamberlain University last fall. He most recently worked in the Chest Pain Observation Unit. Dobbs serves as a medic and an emergency medical technician instructor for the 189th Medical Group Arkansas Air National Guard, holding the rank of master sergeant.
Mark Wilton, who has 19 years of fundraising experience, was named director of development and external relations for the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Wilton has worked in the development office at the College of Agriculture at Auburn University since 2000. Wilton earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Auburn in 1993 and joined its College of Agriculture in 2000.
Regina Bennish joined the Fayetteville office of Weichert, Realtors — The Griffin Company as a Realtor.
Makele Ndessokia was named the head of the human resources division at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Ndessokia has 14 years of human resource and employee development experience, most recently at the University of Missouri, where she also served as an adjunct professor, leading a professional development program.
Diane Carroll was promoted to chief communications and marketing officer at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. She was director of communications. Carroll joined Crystal Bridges in 2012.
Clay Bakker was promoted to director of trails and grounds at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. He was trails and grounds manager. Bakker joined Crystal Bridges in 2011.
