BELLA VISTA — Peter H. Knipp Sr., 81, passed away on March 12, 2019, at The Waters Nursing Home in Rogers, Ark., with his family at his side. Peter was born June 3, 1937, to Herman Knipp and Laura Thoele of Wilder, Kan.

Peter married the former Betty Wyatt on Aug. 30, 1957, in Kansas City, Kan., at her parent’s home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty Knipp of Bella Vista; two sons, Peter (April) Knipp and Robert (Roxanna) Knipp; five beautiful granddaugh­ters, five great-grandchild­ren and his faithful fur baby, Lola.

There will be a Mass of the Resurrecti­on on April 5, 2019, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1 St. Bernard Lane, Bella Vista, Ark. No flowers please. BELLA VISTA — Marian S. Polson, age 84, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 14, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. Marian was born March 6, 1935, to Pat and Betty Wetmore at Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada.

In Halifax, Nova Scotia, she graduated from Queen Elizabeth High School. Marian received her degree in nursing from Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. In 1957 she moved to Annapolis, Md., where she married a U.S. Naval officer in 1958.

Together they had four children who survive Marian: Kat of Federal Way, Wash., Sandy of Santa Cruz, Calif., Tina of Decatur, Ga., and Michael of Salem, Ala. She also has six grandchild­ren and four great-grandchild­ren.

Marian became a naturalize­d citizen in 1962. She loved her life as a Naval officer’s wife and was extremely patriotic, serving in many capacities as a Navy wife. She especially loved moving from coast to coast the many times that were required by Navy life. She never lived anywhere she didn’t enjoy.

After moving to Coronado, Calif., in 1976, she met and married her best friend, Art Polson in 1983. After they retired in 1993, they moved to Bella Vista. Art preceded Marian in death in 1998.

Marian was a member of Bella Vista Community Church where she made many friends. She was a Shepherd Group leader, a member of the Prayer Fellowship and started the Prayer Shawl Ministry there ….. “if she was sitting, she was knitting.”

A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at Bella Vista Community Church with Pastor Cody Ragland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the Prayer Shawl Ministry at BV Community

CAVE SPRINGS — Barbara Ann “Bobbie” Melton, 81, of Cave Springs, and longtime area resident, died Thursday, March 14, 2019. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Venus Cemetery. CENTERTON — Michael Douglas Hewins, 53, of Centerton passed away Sunday, March 17 at his residence. He was born Nov. 22, 1965, in Hightstown, N.J., the son of Jeannette and Charles Hewins. FAYETTEVIL­LE — Jimmy Lee Glass, age 81, passed away at his home in Fayettevil­le on Friday, March 15, 2019. He was born on March 13, 1938, in Stilwell, Okla., to George, Sr. and Saphronia (Vann) Glass.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Mary Glass, his loving wife of 45 years, Virginia Glass, two sisters, Ella Mae Daugherty and Peggy Lutz and one brother, George “Redbird” Glass Jr.

Jimmy loved serving the Lord. He was a member of the White Rock Light of Faith Pentecosta­l Church of Fayettevil­le. He loved and cherished his church family. His favorite pastimes, when he was able, included fishing and visiting with friends and family in Oklahoma.

He is survived by his brother, Mike Glass and wife Dana of Stilwell, Okla.; two sisters, Florene Smith of Bunch, Okla., and Marlene Ballard and husband James of Stilwell, Okla.; several special nieces and nephews, Margie Long and husband Steve whom he loved like a daughter, Stephanie Ogden, Jerri Ogden, Whitney Warrior, “Little Sissy” and Lucian Warrior Jr., “Little Britches.”

A visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at White Rock Light of Faith Pentecosta­l Church, 6560 W. PEA RIDGE — Mildred Morgan, 85, of Pea Ridge, died March 15 at Innisfree Nursing and Rehab in Rogers. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 22 at the Ridge Church in Pea Ridge. ROGERS — Jennifer (Waudby) Ferguson, age 46, passed away in Rogers, Ark., on March 16, 2019. She was born Sept. 27, 1972, in Bentonvill­e, Ark., to John and Jo (Easley) Waudby.

She was a lifelong resident of Bentonvill­e, Ark., and graduated Bentonvill­e High School in 1990.

She is survived by both parents; grandmothe­r Maxine Easley of Rogers, Ark.; son Austin (Megan) Cope of Beauford, S.C., Connor Feruson and Duncan Ferguson, both of Bentonvill­e; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonvill­e from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Bentonvill­e Community Church of the Nazarene at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Bland Cemetery of Rogers, Ark. SPRINGDALE — Donna Gail Morris died Saturday, March 16, 2019, in Fayettevil­le. She was born Aug. 24, 1937, in Fort Smith, Ark. to William and Esther Howard Schreier. SPRINGDALE — Denise Lazelle Lynch Napier, 60, of Springdale, went to be with God Thursday, March 14, 2019, with her soulmate, Arlin Estep, by her side. She was born Nov. 22, 1958, to Bobby Joe and Elner Mattie Lynch.

Denise was a loving “Nene,” daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend. She loved her family and friends dearly. Though Denise battled with diabetes for most of her life she faced her challenges bravely and with a smile. Denise was gifted with a green thumb and grew beautiful flowers and houseplant­s.

Denise is survived by her best friend and soulmate, Arlin Estep; two daughters, Wendy Napier of Bogalusa, La., Krissy Belote of Vilonia; honorary son, Chris Long and wife Sabrina; eight grandchild­ren, Kayla, Michael, Joseph, Isabelle, Alayna, Brooklyn, Lillian, Pearlie Mae; three brothers, Bobby Lynch of Springdale, Randy Lynch of Goshen; extended family, Allen Jr. of Springdale, Veda and Carolyn both of Springdale; and the father of her children, Randy “Mo” Napier of Springdale.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents and two baby daughters lost at birth whom always remained in her heart.

SPRINGDALE — Joyce I. Villines, 82, of Springdale, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, in Springdale. She was born April 16, 1936, in Ponca, Ark., to Isaac Martin and Stella Kilgore Villines.

Joyce is survived by two nephews, Jerry Reynolds of Winslow, Johnny Reynolds of Springdale, one great-nephew, Rahmlee Reynolds of Springdale. SPRINGDALE — Butch Wheeler, age 64, of Springdale, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019.

Butch was preceded in death by his father, Beryl Lee Wheeler Sr. Butch is survived by four daughters, Nikki Kirkland, Dawnita Elsey, Amy Knipp and Misty Wyrick; his mother, Betty Wheeler; two sisters, Jeanette Tripp (James) and Cheryl Sides (Billy); 14 grandchild­ren and seven great-grandchild­ren. WINSLOW — Josephene Tomlinson, age 82, passed away in Prairie Grove surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 17, 2019. She was born on Oct. 21, 1936, at Sunset (Winslow, Ark.) to Claud and Lillie (Parker) Meadors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Omar Tomlinson and James Piatt, three brothers, and four sisters.

Josephene was a longtime resident of Winslow and the youngest of 10 siblings. She enjoyed crafting, fishing, gardening and country music, but most of all her great-grandson, Brooks. Josephene retired from the University of Arkansas and then again from the Washington County Courthouse.

She is survived by her daughter, Anita and husband Carl Sweigart of Prairie Grove; grandchild­ren, Ashley and David Taylor of Prairie Grove, Hayley and Wes Long of Farmington, one great-grandson, Brooks Taylor; nephew Johnny Schader and Michelle Webb of Brannan; and two sisters, Geneva and Arliss Perry of Fayettevil­le and Indinola and Charles Williams of Fayettevil­le.

Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at the Brentwood Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
