■ George W. Bush, 72, the nation’s 43rd president, was beaming and holding a golf ball in a photo posted on social media after he made a hole-in-one on the par-3 12th green of Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, which is hosting the Warrior Open honoring wounded U.S. military personnel.

■ Hannah Peters, 18, of Durham, N.C., who went by “itslilhotg­irl” on Instagram, is facing charges after deputies said she posed on social media with what appeared to be drugs and a pink-andblack semi-automatic rifle to advertise and sell marijuana.

■ Karle Robinson, a black man held at gunpoint and handcuffed by police in Tonganoxie, Kan., as he moved into his new home, and the American Civil Liberties Union of Kansas are calling on the state attorney general to investigat­e the incident for racial bias.

■ Mark DeAngelis of Londonderr­y, N.H., who wore a bunny costume when he proposed to his wife, Jolene, on Easter in 1998, put on a similar costume when he went to the Manchester airport to pick her up after a recent trip and presented her with a new ring in a silver egg for their 20th anniversar­y.

■ Dex Frier, a transgende­r high school senior in Gainesvill­e, Ga., nominated by students as one of six candidates for prom king, was informed by school officials that he could be only on the prom queen ballot, inspiring a petition drive to get him on the prom king ballot.

■ H. Russell Taub, a Rhode Island Republican fundraiser and former congressio­nal candidate, pleaded guilty to wire fraud and violating campaign law by spending more than $1 million of the money he raised on personal expenses, including adult entertainm­ent and escort services.

■ Tim Tiernan of Dallas said he first thought it was a dog when a wallaby hopped up his driveway and to the back door, prompting a call to the animal services unit, which captured the escaped pet, a close relative of the kangaroo, and returned it to its owner.

■ John Williams of Twiggs County, Ga., was treated for a minor cut and charged with aggravated child molestatio­n after a woman told sheriff’s deputies she hit him with a sword after she found him molesting her 5-year-old daughter.

■ Misty Freeman, 38, of Alexandria, Va., was charged with robbery after taking the cellphone of a woman who was recording her during a confrontat­ion over Freeman’s dog defecating along a neighborho­od street, police said.
