Countering Gore’s ‘Inconvenient Truths’

-

I recently read where high school students were protesting (cutting class) for “climate change!” It brought to mind when I was in undergraduate school and we decided to “strike” in protest to the firing of a popular instructor. The evening before the aforementioned strike I received a phone call from the dean’s secretary. It went like this: “Mr. Hunt, would you like to get into post-graduate school? Mr. Hunt, you will be in class tomorrow!“Needless to say I was not among the “demonstrators.“I wonder if those students want their high school diplomas?

Too, I wonder if any of those students have been given the alternative view on “global warming?! There’s some pretty interesting stuff out there. Proverbs 18:17 says, “The one who states his case first seems right until the other comes and examines him.” That they are subjected to “brainwashing” is indisputable. To demonstrate, some time ago a colleague of mine cut down a diseased, obtrusive tree in his yard. His sixth-grade daughter with whom he had a close relationship literally would not speak to him for several weeks. You think she wasn’t subjected to brainwashing bias?

As a gardener while researching the CO2 levels/plant health relationship I ran across a book entitled, “Inconvenient Facts: Things Al Gore Doesn’t Want You to Know “by Greg Wrightstone. (Note the antithesis to Gore’s “Inconvenient Truths.”) I would recommend this book as an alternate view. Easy, interesting read, inclusive short book that is not redundant. You needn’t be a scientist to comprehend it. However, I don’t recommend it for those who have replaced religion with “global warming.” Keep in mind when researching this subject, “where you find buffaloes you always find tick birds, therefore, tick birds cause buffaloes.” JIM HUNT Fayetteville
