United Federal Credit Union expands into northwest Arkansas
“The excitement around the economic and population growth in northwest Arkansas is inspiring, and we’re happy to be a part of that momentum.” Stephanie Riffle,
United’s Market Vice President—Arkansas
Growth continues to be the theme in northwest Arkansas, as another big employer has moved into the community.
United Federal Credit Union celebrated its expansion into northwest Arkansas with the opening of its Promenade branch in Rogers on July 26 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Although the credit union has been serving Springdale since 2015, this is the first free-standing United branch to open in northwest Arkansas.
United is also a familiar name to residents of the River Valley. The credit union has had branches in Fort Smith and Van Buren for decades, and recently added Alma to its footprint.
“Growing in Arkansas continues to be a priority for United,” said Stephanie Riffle, United’s Market Vice President—Arkansas. “The excitement around the economic and population growth in northwest Arkansas is inspiring, and we’re happy to be a part of that momentum. The team at United is focused on delivering outstanding financial services to members, building relationships and supporting our communities, as well as creating experiences that show why United Federal Credit Union is a special place to bank.”
Amber Murphy, hired in April of this year, leads the team as the Promenade branch manager. Murphy will leverage her 15 years of financial services experience to promote corporate member engagement and positive public relations. She will also be tasked with maintaining the performance of the branch, providing solutions to members, and leadership and supervision to staff.
United opened the doors to its new 3,500 square foot branch on June 17 and is currently serving members. Renovations to the branch building started in March and was managed by The Redmond Company. The Promenade branch is a full-service extension of United, offering personal and business banking services including loans, mortgages, and investment planning.
In August, United continued to expand in the northwest Arkansas region with the opening of its Har-Ber Meadows branch, located at 6706 West Sunset Avenue in Springdale.
Kyle Hathaway leads the team as branch manager at the Har-Ber Meadows location. He has been the branch manager of United’s Springdale location at the Walmart Supercenter since September 2018. Like Murphy, Hathaway will use his 12 years of financial services experience to help his team develop personalized financial solutions for members and grow United’s reputation in Springdale through positive experiences and volunteerism.
