BENTONVILLE — James “Jay” Churchwell, passed away Aug. 18, 2019. Jay was born on Aug. 31, 1917, in Carlisle, Ark., to parents Eddie and Minnie Shelton Churchwell.
He was a World War II veteran and proud of his service in the Army. Jay was united in marriage to Norma and they enjoyed many happy years of marriage. He was always known to make friends easily and for his no problem personality. Jay will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma in 2010, parents, six sisters and a brother.
Jay is survived by son Mike Churchwell and wife Karen of Gravette; daughters Patti Springs and husband Richard of Jacksonville, Ark., Diane Gray and husband Ed of Jay, Okla.; sisters Rose Felton and Betty Colclasure; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Wednesday at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers.
BENTONVILLE — Barbara (‘Bobbie’) LeRoy, age 94, passed away peacefully Aug. 8, 2019, at Mercy Hospital, Rogers.
At the time of her passing, Bobbie was a resident of Village On The Park assisted living center in Bentonville. Bobbie leaves behind a rich and instructive legacy of love for family, generosity, and service to her favorite charities and causes.
She is survived by sons Gregory (Rose Marie) of Bella Vista, Gary (Susan) of Port Huron, Mich., and Scott of Seattle; as well as her four beloved grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Gaynor and grandson Drew.
A private family celebration will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Village and the medical staff at Mercy for their professionalism, kindness and compassion toward our beloved Mom. YPARIS — Randal Neil Jones, 65, of Paris, Ark., died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019. Memorial visitation is from 5-7 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at Roller Funeral Home in Paris. Burial of cremated remains will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
