FOOTBALL Texans acquire Tunsil

The Houston Texans continued a busy day of trades by addressing a glaring need to upgrade their offensive line by acquiring left tackle Laremy Tunsil from the Miami Dolphins in a deal which also netted them receiver Kenny Stills, a source familiar with the deal tells The Associated Press. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the trade had not yet been announced.

Cowboys release Iloka

The Dallas Cowboys have released safety George Iloka, one of their most notable signings in free agency, to get their roster down to 53 players for the regular season. Iloka was added after the Cowboys weren’t significan­t bidders in the pursuit of free agent Earl Thomas.

F2 driver dies

French driver Anthoine Hubert died Saturday in a Formula Two accident at the Belgian Grand Prix. Hubert, 22, died following a 160-mph collision at the high-speed Spa-Francorcha­mps track, which earlier Saturday saw qualifying for today’s Formula One race, which has been cancelled. Hubert raced for the British-owned Arden team. Motorsport’s governing body FIA said Hubert “succumbed to his injuries, and passed away at 18:35” local time. The statement also gave details of the other two drivers involved, Juan-Manuel Correa and Giuliano Alesi. Correa was “in a stable condition” and being treated at Liege hospital and Alesi was checked and declared fit at the on-site medical center. FIA said it is investigat­ing the incident.

Flesch leads by 1

Steve Flesch shot a 2-under 68 to take a one-shot lead after two rounds of the Champions Tour’s Shaw Charity Classic at Calgary, Alberta. Flesch had four birdies and two bogeys and moved to 10 under. Tom Gillis, who had a 6-under 64, and Wes Short Jr., who fired a 3-under 67, were a stroke off the lead. Ken Duke (Arkadelphi­a, Henderson State) shot a 2-under 68 and is tied for fifth place at 7 under. Glen Day (Little Rock) is tied for 47th place at 1 under. He had a 1-under 69 on Saturday.

Baker out front

First-round leader Chris Baker shot a 3-under 69 on Saturday for a 2-stroke lead at the Korn Ferry Tour Championsh­ip at Newburgh, Ind. Baker was at 12-under 132. Lanto Griffin (65) and Tom Lewis (66) were tied for second. Sebastian Cappelen (Arkansas Razorbacks) and Nicolas Echavarria (Razorbacks) did not make the cut.
