SHILOH CHRISTIAN 41, MOORE HAVEN, FLA. 6

The Saints made the most of their anticipate­d road trip to Florida, routing Moore Haven on Friday in the season-opener in Orlando.

Truitt Tollett scored three touchdowns in three ways to power the Shiloh Christian (1-0) attack. Tollett scored on a long pass, a punt return and a short run.

The Saints jumped to a 6-0 lead with 6 minutes left in the first quarter on Cam Wiedemann’s 78-yard touchdown run, then increased the margin to 14-0 on Ben Walton’s scoring run. Wiedemann rushed for 114 yards on 9 carries in the win.

Tollett scored the next three Saints touchdowns, catching an 80-yard pass from Eli Reece to go with the short run. He capped a stellar night with a 68-yard punt return.

Shiloh Christian added a late Ben Baker 89-yard scoring run.

Reece finished the night 12 of 18 passing for 139 yards, and Tollett caught 5 passes for 141 yards.

The Saints will be open next week before hosting Smackover on Sept. 13 in Champions Stadium.

TULSA (OKLA.) CASCIA HALL 38, GRAVETTE 6

Cascia Hall converted two Gravette fumbles and a short punt into touchdowns as the Commandos claimed a victory Friday in Tulsa.

Gravette fumbled on its first offensive play, then Jaxon Henderson hit Zach Uhren with a 38-yard touchdown pass on the ensuing play. Cascia Hall added a short touchdown run for a 14-0 lead after one quarter, then scored twice in less than a minute to double that cushion in the second quarter.

The Lions’ only score came midway through the second quarter when Cy Hilger hit Ian Drake with a 9-yard touchdown pass on a fourth-down play. Cascia Hall then scored again with 37.6 seconds left in the first half for a 35-6 cushion. CLASS 3A

CEDARVILLE 50, JOHNSON CO. WESTSIDE 14

Cedarville piled up 409 yards in total offense while barreling past Johnson County Westside.

Most of the damage came on the ground, where Cedarville rushed for 391 yards on 25 attempts. Darryl Kattich had 110 yards on five carries, and Tommy Metcalf scored on a 75yard run in his only attempt with the football.

Bruce Turney returned a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown for the Pirates (1-0), who led 42-0 at the half.

PARIS 20, PERRYVILLE 13

The Eagles rallied from a 13-0 firsthalf deficit to claim the season-opening victory.

Paris, which finished 0-10 a year ago, held Perryville scoreless in the second half to pick up the win.

Sophomore quarterbac­k Chase Watts threw a 59-yard touchdown pass to Blake Martines, but the Eagles missed the PAT and trailed 13-6 at halftime.

Paris took a 14-13 lead in the third quarter on a short touchdown run by Blaise Woods. He followed with the two-point conversion for the lead. Skyler Ellington added another short touchdown run with less than four minutes left in the fourth quarter. CLASS 2A

MAGAZINE 46, BIGELOW 20

Senior Caleb Hyatt scored three touchdowns, and the Rattlers shut out the Panthers in the second half on their way to a home victory.

Sophomore Ashton Droemer scored twice for Magazine, which led 24-20 at the half. Junior Tatum Scott and senior Kaedon Trejo also scored touchdowns for the Rattlers.

MOUNTAINBU­RG 35, LAVACA 0

Junior Ethan Gregory and senior Malachi West each scored two rushing touchdowns as the Dragons burned the host Golden Arrows.

Gregory scored on a 12-yard run in the first quarter and on a 44-yard third-quarter dash. West’s touchdowns came on runs of 3 and 50 yards in the second and third quarters, respective­ly.

Mountainbu­rg also picked up a 14yard rushing touchdown from senior Dylan Coughran in the second quarter. Mountainbu­rg led 21-0 at the half.
