Northwest Arkansas transplant­s — by way of Lincoln, Neb. — Travis and Becky Koester are an award-nominated husband-and-wife Americana duo. LORRIE MORGAN — Longtime country vocalist and performer Lorrie Morgan returns to Cherokee Casino in West Siloam Springs, Okla., at 8 p.m. Sept. 5 for a free show. Morgan made her first appearance on the Grand Ole Opry at age 13 and has charted more than 25 singles on the Billboard Hot Country charts. SAM ADAMS — Stand-up comedian and face of the viral “True Color” routine (and subsequent social media stir) Sam Adams returns to The Lyric Theater in Harrison following his wildly successful visit last December. The African American comedian’s initial visit to Harrison (home to the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan headquarte­rs) spurred his hilarious “not scared … but concerned” routine, which has since garnered so much attention, a documentar­y about Adams’ story is in the works.
