CLARKSVILLE 63, PARIS 0
The Panthers rolled to a 42-0 halftime lead and never looked back in a shutout over Class 3A Paris in nonconference action.
Clarksville (2-0) got first-half scoring strikes to Jace Donaldson and Miles Kimbriel, and Donaldson added an interception return for a score to pace the Panthers.
Clarksville will host Ozark this week in its final nonconference game of the season. CLASS 4A
OZARK 28, BOONEVILLE 6
The Hillbillies opened the season with a huge win over their longtime rival.
Ozark (1-0) scored on its opening possession as Eli Munnerlyn had a short touchdown run. The Hillbillies went up 14-0 when Haper Faulkenberry found tight end Bryant Burns on a 31-yard scoring pass.
Faulkenberry later hit Duke Walker on a 16yard touchdown strike and added a touchdown run of his own.
Daniel Woolsey, who missed most of last season with an injury, rushed for 127 yards on 17 carries for Ozark. Faulkenberry was 3 of 5 passing for 56 yards and two scores and rushed for 96 yards and one score.
Kayne Satterfield had 11 tackles for the Hillbillies.
BERRYVILLE 41, WEST FORK 0
The Bobcats seized control in the first half and rolled to a shutout win.
Berryville (2-0) rushed for 285 yards, led by Brett Parsons, who had 71 yards on 9 carries and scored 4 touchdowns. J.D. Smith added a pair of rushing touchdowns.
GENTRY 38, HUNTSVILLE 15
Brandon Atwood accounted for 5 touchdowns to lead the Pioneers (1-1) to a nonconference win Friday.
Atwood was 15 of 27 passing for 199 yards and 3 touchdowns to three different receivers and powered the Pioneers’ run game with 21 carries for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Beau Tomblin had 7 catches for 66 yards, and Zach Jarnagan had 5 catches for 67 yards for Gentry.
MAUMELLE 33, PEA RIDGE 12
Junior Jonathan Reyes threw four touchdown passes — two of them to Demetress Williams — as the Hornets (1-0) went on the road to defeat the Blackhawks (0-2).
Reyes hit Williams for a 73-yard scoring strike late in the first half to give Maumelle a 14-6 advantage. He also connected with Williams on a 24-yard touchdown pass with eight minutes left in the third quarter.
Reyes also threw a 56-yard scoring pass to Louis Hartje and a 22-yard TD to Tavion Williams. Maumelle also scored on a 5-yard pass from Mathew Gatmaitan to Zyon Slade.
Pea Ridge scored in the first half on a 14-yard pass from Tate Busey to Hunter Rains, who also scored in the third quarter on a 9-yard run.
MENA 36, PRESCOTT 35 (OT)
Zane Stephens’ overtime touchdown followed by a successful extra point was enough to put Mena (2-0) over Prescott (0-2).
After Stephens’ touchdown, Prescott’s Jacobi Nolen responded with a 1-yard score.
DARDANELLE 44, CHARLESTON 0
Senior running back Blake Chambers had a big night in the Sand Lizards’ (2-0) victory over the Tigers (0-2).
Chambers ran for 200 yards and three touchdowns in Dardanelle’s home opener. CLASS 3A
GREENLAND 31, ELKINS 20
Gabe Wilson put on a show Friday night, accounting for 5 touchdowns as the Pirates rolled over Elkins in nonconference action.
Wilson was 14 of 21 passing for 167 yards and 1 touchdown, and the dual-threat quarterback added 46 yards on the ground and 4 rushing touchdowns.
Jett Dennis rushed for 146 yards on 19 carries for Greenland (1-0). Zaylen Bryant had 7 catches for 87 yards for the Pirates.
CEDARVILLE 46, MOUNTAINBURG 0
Cedarville rushed for 358 yards and five touchdowns while posting a shutout victory over Mountainburg.
Darryl Kattich had seven carries for 138 yards and three touchdowns while Kelin Mitchell added 129 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Kattich also caught a touchdown pass for the Pirates (2-0), who held Mountainburg to 33 yards rushing and nine yards passing.
MANSFIELD 38, WALDRON 34
Ethan Stovall threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns to lead Mansfield past Waldron.
Layton Howard caught 10 passes for 141 yards and one touchdown while Will Meadows rushed for 83 yards and one score. Stovall completed 19 of 27 passes for the Tigers (20), who rallied from a 28-12 deficit early in the third quarter.
LAMAR 35, DANVILLE 13
Josh Salinas scored on runs of 35, 2 and 54 yards — all in the first half — as the Warriors (1-0) routed the Little Johns (1-1).
The Warriors also got a 10-yard touchdown run by Jacob Parmenter and a 27-yard scoring run by Broadi Richardson.
Danville quarterback Lawson Wilkins tossed a 35-yard scoring pass to Alex Hilton in the third quarter and ran for a 2-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. CLASS 2A
CARLISLE 58, JC WESTSIDE 14
Senior Kam’ryn Taylor rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns as the Bison (2-0) whipped the Rebels (0-2).
Carlisle quarterback Eli Moody threw for 138 yards and two TDs. Junior Collin Jinks ran seven times for 113 yards and a touchdown. Sophomore Mikey Freeby had an interception for the Bison. 8-MAN
WOODLAWN 50, DECATUR 18
Two players had their way for the Bears (1-0) in their rout of the Bulldogs (0-2).
Quarterback Brandon Lambert accounted for three touchdowns, and running back Jayden Manes added three touchdowns of his own. CLASS 6A
EL DORADO 16, CAMDEN FAIRVIEW 13
Alex Hicks rushed for 270 yards on 44 carries as El Dorado (1-1) outlasted Camden Fairview (0-1).
It was Steven Jones’ first victory as El Dorado’s head coach. Jones coached at Junction City the past two seasons and led the Dragons to a Class 2A state championship in 2018.
The Cardinals took a 13-10 lead on a twoyard run by Patrick Rucks with 7:38 left in the third quarter.
Hicks scored from nine yards out with 10:27 remaining to give the Wildcats a 1613 lead. CLASS 5A
MORRILTON 33, RUSSELLVILLE 17
Jacolby Criswell threw for 224 yards and ran for 112 more as the Devil Dogs (1-1) rallied from a 14-0 deficit to defeat the visiting Cyclones (0-1).
Russellville scored twice in the opening quarter, blocking a punt and recovering the ball in the end zone for the first score and getting a 9-yard TD pass from Brayden Whitford to Reid Wolfe with 1:30 left.
Criswell tossed a 30-yard scoring pass to Lamar Wofford for Morrilton’s first touchdown. The Devil Dogs pulled to within 14-13 on a 21-yard run by Xavier Clemons with 8:11 left before halftime.
Russellville’s Connor Cooper increased the Cyclones’ lead to 17-13 with a 27-yard field goal, but Morrilton took the lead for good with 3:43 left in the second quarter on Jackson Moll’s 13-yard run. CLASS 4A
ATKINS 46, DOVER 21
Elijah Roberson threw a touchdown pass and Ryley Bowden ran for a score as the Red Devils (2-0) won on the road at Dover (0-2).
Atkins led 24-7 at the half.
BAUXITE 32, DES ARC 28
The Miners (1-1) scored three second-half touchdowns for a comeback victory over the Eagles (1-1).
Bauxite quarterback Conner Stacy scored on runs of 72 and 1 yards in the second quarter, as the Miners missed both of their conversion attempts.
Des Arc led 21-12 at the half on the strength of three rushing touchdowns.
Stacy threw for two more touchdowns after the half.
