BENTONVILL­E — Phillip Ray Pine, 56, passed away Aug. 7 from injuries suffered in an auto accident in Bentonvill­e, Ark.

He was a carrier for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and a part time DJ.

Phil is survived by his mother, JoAnn Pine of Inglewood Calif.; dad Raymond Pine and wife Linda of Hope, Ark.; brother John David of Hope; sister Kathleen of Paris, Texas; nephew Timothy Webb and wife Sarah and their daughter Briley; fiancee Kandace King and her son Timothy; and many other relatives. He also leaves a wonderful group of friends.

His passions included music, Halloween, and floating the river.

Two memorial floats were held in his honor and were attended by many friends and family members.

FARMINGTON — Jim High, age 65, of Farmington, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019. Jim was born June 23, 1954, in Prairie Grove, Ark., to Wayne and Mary High.

Jim was preceded in death by his father.

Jim is survived by wife Holly Seaton High; son Spencer High and wife Star, and their daughter Sidra Bote; mother Mary High; niece Christa Muse and husband Paul; and a great-nephew Hayden Lawrence.

FARMINGTON — Janie Faye Shoemaker-Parker passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2019. She was born Aug. 12, 1961, in Bevier, Mo., to Wayne and Cora Lee Shoemaker.

She was a woman of faith and believed we will all be together again.

Survivors include daughter Amanda Gardner; sons Jeremy Heminger, Tim Heminger and Joe Gardner; brother Mark Shoemaker; sisters Rebecca Sanford, Kelly Davis and Kimberly Shoemaker; and grandchild­ren Austin and Katelyn Gardner.

Janie also loved her work family at the Washington County Road Department. They meant so much to her, as well. She was loved by so many more and cared for everyone of them, those “adopted” by mom. You know who you are!

Mom was a kind loving woman. She loved being outside to enjoy the sunshine, traveling, and visiting new places. Mom always wanted to learn new things and appreciate­d every moment life had to offer. She will be missed dearly.

A service to celebrate the life of this amazing woman will be held at the West Fork Community Center on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m., with a potluck to follow. LOWELL — Ronald Bruce Roe passed away Sept. 7, 2019. He was born to Raymond Roe and Agnes Gobel on Oct. 27, 1946.

Ron was a retired electricia­n from General Motors. He served in the Navy, and also worked in the oil fields and mining.

Ron married his wife, Lesa, on May 1, 1979. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lowell.

He is also survived by his children, Barbara Taylor, Tammy Barthelmes (Lu), Amanda Roe, Yancey Roe, Gabby and Aaron Roe (adopted grandchild­ren) and seven other grandchild­ren.

A service of celebratio­n will be held at Grace Lutheran Church at 3 p.m. Sept. 14. Burial will be at Fayettevil­le National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Academy. Online condolence­s www.WestfieldC­hapel.com

ROGERS — Jamie Renee Kopp-Fields, age 49, of Rogers, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019. She was born to the late James Fields and surviving mother Elveta Fields of Pocahontas, Ark., on April 20, 1970.

Jamie attended Pocahontas High School before furthering her education by graduating from the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s of science degree in general science in 1995. She went on to start a successful career with Walmart for 27 years, eventually earning the final position of senior program manager at the Walmart Home Office.

She met the love of her life, John Kopp, while working in Conway, Ark., in 1993. By 1994, they were married and moved to Northwest Arkansas to start their family and live the rest of their lives together. In 2001 they gave birth to their first and only son, Johnny Kopp.

Jamie’s number one priority in life was always her family and friends. She enjoyed hosting parties and any friends or family of hers can attest that she was the life of any social event, big or small. Her caring, giving, and selfless spirit touched almost anyone she came in contact with and had the ability to make everyone feel special in their own unique way.

Jamie is survived by husband John Kopp; son Johnny Kopp; mother Elveta Fields; sisters Debbie Irving, Melinda Mosty and Brenda Thielemier, along with her countless number of loving relatives and friends.

Jamie’s funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Burial will then follow in Hite Cemetery near her father and other resting family members. Pallbearer­s will include John Allen Kopp, Johnny Kopp, John Albert Kopp, Wayne Thielemier, Kyle Thielemier, and Tiffany Williams.

Her family wishes to thank everyone that was involved in making her life as enjoyable and special as it was. They hope that her fun-loving spirit will continue on through her friends and family and that her selfless legacy will not be forgotten. She will be missed.

SPRINGDALE — Neoma Maples, age 89, of Springdale, formerly of Shell Knob, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Springdale.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Ben Rowell will conduct the services. Burial will be at I.O.O.F Cemetery in Marionvill­e. Celisa Helmer, the enigmatic force of nature we were graced to know as mother, sister, daughter and friend, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, at her home in Waipahu, Hawaii. She was 49 years old. Celisa was born on July 4, 1970, in Oak Grove, La., where she spent many childhood summers with family. .

Growing up primarily in Monroe, La., Celisa attended Ouachita Parish High School before graduating from Louisiana Tech University with a nursing degree

Driven by an indomitabl­e and unbridled spirit, Celisa left an indelible mark on every person she met. Her magnetic personalit­y and extemporan­eous style could light up any situation, and her personable approach attracted a diverse circle of friends who quickly became extended family. Music was a cornerston­e of her life, and Celisa relished incorporat­ing her favorite movie quotes into everyday conversati­on.

Celisa is survived by daughters Jaden, Raleigh and Mena Anderson; brother Matthew Helmer; sister Erin Helmer Tarver; mother Frances Kellebrew; father Bill Helmer and stepmother Jean Helmer; and several nieces and nephews. She also is survived by half-sister Dallas French; stepsister­s Rhonda Baker and Donna Blackett; and friends and family from the South to Hawaii and around the globe.

A celebratio­n of life will be Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. at Rooted Church, 2707 Church St., Johnson, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family has establishe­d a fundraiser to benefit the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter. Online condolence­s: www.Westfield Chapel.com
