BELLA VISTA — Dr. Ginger Irene Hamilton, 84, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Oct. 20, 2019, at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born Feb. 21, 1935, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Larry and Thelma (Hamilton) Collingswo­rth.

Thelma died during childbirth, and Ginger was adopted by her maternal grandparen­ts, Edward Sherman and Arlie Daisy (Waring) Hamilton.

At the age of 18 months, she was billed as the “World’s Youngest Radio and Stage Entertaine­r,” singing and playing the mandolin on stage at Renfro Valley. She received her doctorate at the Ohio State University. Before moving to Bella Vista, her practice was as a neuropsych­ologist. She started the first animal-behavior psychologi­st’s office in the world and wrote several books on animal behavior. She had a strong love of animals, especially horses.

She was a member of The Village Players, Hoot and Holler Cloggers, and tai chi. She played trumpet for the Bella Vista Community Band for several years. She wrote and produced six plays for the Clever Road Theater, which she started. She was a writer, singer, dancer and choreograp­her director for various local groups such as the Village Players, Dessert Theater with Methodist and Episcopal Church; Equestrian clinics and events, and yearly benefit shows during craft fairs, all profits going to local charities, such as the Bella Vista Veteran’s Wall. She was a major participan­t in the St. Theodore’s Church, such as writing and directing the Christmas pageant for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard Wentworth Beck, on July 11, 2017. She is survived by several cousins and one cat, Charlie Girl.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Theodore’s Episcopal Church, 1001 Kingsland Road, Bella Vista, Ark., 72714.

BELLA VISTA — Karen Elizabeth Matthews, age 70, of Bella Vista passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, in Fayettevil­le. She was born Sept. 29, 1949, in Batesville, Ark., the daughter of Harold Ralph and Oleta Ely Bronson. She was preceded in death by her parents. She retired from the Veteran’s Administra­tion after 30 years. She is survived by her husband, Myron; sister Maggie Hopkins, both of Bella Vista, and several nieces and nephews. BELLA VISTA — Mary Ethel Mills, born Nov. 23, 1941, was surrounded by her loved ones, when she went to be with the Lord on Oct. 16, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. FAYETTEVIL­LE — Julia A. Weis, 91 of Fayettevil­le passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayettevil­le. She was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Marianna, Ark., to Ben and Marie Gillenwate­r Brown.

Julia was a homemaker. She was raised in Marianna where she met the love of her life Richard Weis, they were married and moved to Brinkley in 1950. They moved to Springdale in 1968 and then on to Fayettevil­le in 1989. She was an avid bridge player.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Weis and two brothers.

Survivors include son Knight Weis and wife Phyllis of Springdale; daughters Becky Froning and husband Don of Springdale, Kay Nixon and husband Gary of Tennessee and Karen Weis-Hutto and husband Barry White of Georgia; grandchild­ren Justin, Patrick, Phillip, Payton, JT and Thomas; and great grandchild­ren Fox and Fawn.

Mass of christian burial will be Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springdale. Private entombment services will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayettevil­le. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m.

ROGERS — Clinton H. McCarver, 80, passed away on Oct. 20, 2019, in Rogers, Ark. He was born on March 3, 1939, in Wesley, Ark., to the late Wymer and Ruth (Richardson) McCarver.

He was the loving husband of Marge (Watkins) McCarver.

Clint was known as a storytelle­r to all who knew him. He loved the Mark Twain quote, “Don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story.”

His hobbies over the years were woodworkin­g, bird hunting, marble making and collecting, researchin­g and publishing his genealogy book, antique collecting and refurbishi­ng, reading, talking politics, and entertaini­ng his grandchild­ren, whom he loved so much.

Helping others was a priority for him. He was always the “go to person” for all of his family members and friends.

Clint was a member of Rogers First United Methodist Church and went on multiple mission trips. He served on the Rogers Recreation Associatio­n board for many years and was a former member of Rotary Internatio­nal.

Clint had a lifetime love of traveling. He and his wife, Marge took many trips including several internatio­nal trips. He was especially fond of saying they were already planning the next trip on the way home.

Clint earned his master’s degree at the University of Arkansas where he was once a member of the Plant Pathology research team. He taught science, was a business owner, and later worked in real estate sales, investment­s, and developmen­t. He was a man of many talents and will be sorely missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Trenton McCarver and grandson Jacob Huey.

He is survived by his wife, Marge of Rogers; daughter Rhonda Curtsinger and husband Sam of Texas; sons Keith McCarver of Springdale, Jeff Patterson and wife Keneil, Mark Patterson and wife Beverly, both of Rogers; brother Larry McCarver of Rogers; grandchild­ren Joshua Huey, Clinton McCarver, Kevin Phillips, Keysha Puckett, Jade Patterson and Mackenzy Patterson; as well as six great-grandchild­ren.

The visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, from 10-11 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. Both are at the First United Methodist Church in Rogers. The burial will be private. Online condolence­s can be made at www. rollinsfun­eral.com.

SILOAM SPRINGS — Wanda Jean Buckley Davis, 83, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Oct. 20, 2019, at her home. Born May 1, 1936, in Westville, Okla., she was the daughter of James “Henry” Riley and Fay Buttry.

Wanda worked for Franklin Electric for several years and enjoyed square dancing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Johnny Davis and sister Alpha Marie Riley.

Survivors include sons Ray Buckley, Stan Buckley and wife Crissy, Mike Buckley and wife Shirley, all of Siloam Springs, Ark.; brother Ron Riley of Westville, Okla.; and sister Sharon Hastings of Independen­ce, Mo.

SPRINGDALE — George William “Bill” Bradley, 91, of Springdale, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, at VA palliative care in Fayettevil­le. He was born June 27, 1928, in Salus, Johnson County, to Frank and Grace (Thomas) Bradley.

Bill was a member of Elmdale Baptist Church and American Legion Post 139 of Springdale. He served in the Air Force during World War II as a military policeman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gennie Vee (Griggs) Bradley.

Bill is survived by children Dewain Bradley and wife Dena of Springdale, Ellen Dudley of Springdale and Diann Bradley of Vero Beach, Fla.; brothers James Bradley and wife Joyce of Springdale and Roy Bradley and wife Chris of Springdale; sister Mary Sue Bumstead of Gravette; granddaugh­ters Melisa Kitson and husband Michael, Linette Garcia, Misty Bradley and Mindy Bradley; great-granddaugh­ters Caylin Garcia and Rosemarie DuRell; and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale with interment at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

WEST FORK — Trudy Marlene Aaserude, 67, of West Fork, went to be with the Lord and surrounded by loved ones in her home, Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019. Trudy was born May 15, 1952, in Fayettevil­le, Ark., to Norman and Avis “Boots” Ball.

She was close to the Lord and her faith was strong. She enjoyed church and singing his praises. She had the voice of an angel. Trudy enjoyed her work and loved her customers as a pharmacy tech for Walmart for 30 years. 48 years of love and family, she was married to Calvin Anton Aaserude on May 1, 1971. She was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmothe­r and sister. Trudy is now an angel leading the choir in heaven.

Trudy was preceded in death by her father, Norman Ball and mother Avis Ball and brother-in-law Scotty Butterfly.

She is survived by husband Calvin Aaserude; sons Chad Aaserude and Chris Aaserude; daughter Keshia Aaserude; daughter-in-law Destiny Aaserude; grandsons Logan Aaserude, Coby Aaserude, Cayden Aaserude, Mikah Gardner, Dawson Gardner, and Kamden Gardner; granddaugh­ters Addison McCutcheon and Kerrigan Aaserude; sisters Sharon Butterfly, Gwen Morris and Theresa Becker; brother-in-law Stan Becker and many nieces and nephews. Trudy is loved and missed by many.

WINSLOW — Janet Ann Bessette, age 69, of Winslow, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2019. She was born Feb. 26, 1950, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Henry and Edith Rehill Bessette. Janet graduated from high school in Derby, Kan. She loved to sew and was an accomplish­ed seamstress. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry, who was a career Air Force veteran and our family lived in many states and Germany over the years.

She is survived by her mother, Edith Bessette; brother Donald and wife Debbie and sister Jenene and husband Lou Miller.
