CENTERTON — Josephine (Gacioch) Shergalis, 97, passed away Nov. 6, 2019, in Centerton, Ark. She was born in New Haven, Conn., on Nov. 24, 1921, to the late John and Tessie Gacioch.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Shergalis, daughter Alice Knox, brother Stanley Gacioch and sister Frances Webster.

She is survived by grandson Thomas Knox Jr. and wife Tammy of Centerton; granddaugh­ters Laura Knox and Joy Knox-Erickson and husband Kurt of Springfiel­d; great-grandchild­ren Tom Knox III, Jordan Heitz, Camryn Knox and Paige, and Megan Erickson; and great-greatgrand­son Thomas Knox IV.

A memorial service will be Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, 2 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfiel­d, Mo.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Rhea Segraves Dunegan of Fayettevil­le, Ark., passed away Nov. 10, 2019, at Butterfiel­d Trail Village. She was born Nov. 14, 1927, in Fayettevil­le, Ark., to Lillian and Raymond

Ash.

She was a graduate of Fayettevil­le High School and attended the University of Arkansas where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority.

Rhea married architect Warren (Sig) Segraves in 1946. She was very active in the Fayettevil­le community. She and Sig enjoyed boating and made many river voyages from Arkansas to Florida.

After Sig’s death in 1978, Rhea moved to Longboat Key, Fla., where she lived for 32 years. She enjoyed the Florida lifestyle and was a docent at the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Fla. In Florida she married John (Jack) Dunegan. Rhea and Jack moved back to Fayettevil­le in 2010.

Rhea is survived by son Patrick Segraves and wife Denise of Palm Beach, Fla.; daughter Janie Segraves Ward and husband Dean of Fayettevil­le, Ark.

Rhea was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank her loving companions and the caregivers at Butterfiel­d Trail Special Care Center.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at Fayettevil­le National Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Janet Jones Jenner, 64, passed away at her home in Fayettevil­le on Nov. 12, 2019, from complicati­ons of breast cancer. She was born April 29, 1955, in Forrest City, Ark., to Chester and Mary Frances Jones.

She was the youngest of three children.

She attended Forrest City

Public Schools, graduating from Forrest City High School in 1973. She obtained her bachelor of science degree in marketing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. After graduating from college, she began her career at IBM in Little Rock. She then later transferre­d with IBM to Fayettevil­le, where she met her husband, Kyle Jenner. Janet and Kyle made their home in Fayettevil­le where they raised four children, who survive her.

Janet never met a stranger and was always quick to ask how everyone was doing. Everyone Janet met soon became a part of her family. Janet was an avid reader and master jewelry designer. Her jewelry were works of art, and are treasured by those who wore them. Janet’s love for music started at a young age when she and her siblings would sneak into rock concerts in Memphis, Tenn. She shared music with her family and passed that love to her children. Janet was also a lifelong movie buff, and went to the movies every week with her family.

Janet is survived by her husband of 31 years Kyle Jenner; daughter Emily Scholtes of Bella Vista and husband Mark Scholtes; sons Frank of Little Rock and wife Kelli LaPorte, Edward of Irvine, Calif., and significan­t other Vivian Lu and Andrew of Fayettevil­le and wife Bailey Wise; brother Ken Jones of Dallas, Texas, and wife Dee Jones; sister Judy Taylor of Searcy; grandchild­ren Hannah and Parker White; and many nieces, nephews, and loving family.

FORUM — Dorthenia Littrell, 85, of Forum, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, in Huntsville. She was born Sunday, Nov. 4, 1934, in Eureka

Springs to Arlo and Jewell Ash Benedict.

Dorthenia married Troy Littrell in Madison County on May 17, 1953, and together they were parents to three children. She was a farmer.

Dorthenia was predecease­d husband Troy Littrell, parents, three brothers, two sisters, grandson Devon Terrell and granddaugh­ter Belinda Littrell.

She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Gary Littrell of Forum and Kerry and Glenda Littrell of Kingston; daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Jay Terrell of Huntsville; sister Arlene Martin of Huntsville; six grandchild­ren and eight great-grandchild­ren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at Alabam Cemetery with Justin Harris officiatin­g. Pallbearer­s will be Jerrad Littrell, Brian Littrell, Johnny Littrell and Charlie Harrison. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.

LINCOLN — Michael Osburn, 51, of Lincoln, Ark., passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, in Neosho, Mo. He was born May 21, 1968, in Fayettevil­le. LOWELL — Harold Dean Bitner, 81 of Lowell, Ark., passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, in Springdale, Ark. He was born Oct. 11, 1938, in San Angelo, Texas, to

Samuel Clark Bitner and Rachel Winslow (Balkum) Bitner.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ray and Winston Bitner.

He is survived by sons Dean Bitner of Lowell, Ark., and Randy Bitner of San Angelo, Texas; daughter Shelley Bitner Flanary of Austin, Texas; brother Sam Bitner of Haskell, Texas; sisters Gloria Young and Shirley Young of San Angelo, Texas, and Peggy Johnson, of Lake City, Fla.; four grandchild­ren; three great-grandchild­ren; many nieces, nephews, and longtime friend David Stamps.

PEA RIDGE — Edward L. Schriner, age 79, passed away on Nov. 11, 2019, at Mercy Medical Center of Rogers. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family. WILKESBORO, N.C. — Mr. Joseph Richard Barber Jr., age 84, of Wilkesboro passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Kedron Nicholson and the Rev. Dn. Susan Whittingto­n officiatin­g. The family will receive in the Parish House of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church following the service.

Mr. Barber was born Feb. 6, 1935, in Wilkes County to Joseph Richard and Nell Somers Barber. He attended Wilkesboro High School where he played on the undefeated 1951 football team. He graduated from Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg, Va., where he served on the honor council.

He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After he was employed at RJ Reynolds and Archer Aluminum, he met his wife, Willie Dagenhart Barber. Later he was employed at Holly Farms Industries and Tyson Foods. After joining Tyson Foods he and his wife lived in Springdale, Ark., for 27 years.

He was an avid golfer and a long time member of Oakwoods Country Club and Springdale Country Club. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Wilkesboro and St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Springdale, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Willie Dagenhart Barber of the home; daughter Sara Elizabeth Poydock of Lexington; son Joseph Richard Barber III of Wilkesboro; grandchild­ren Anna Elizabeth Poydock and Abby Grace Poydock; and sister Sara Barber Weatherman of Lewisville.
