WASHINGTON COUNTY

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayettevil­le, 224 N. East Ave., hosts a nature hike with liturgy Sunday at Devil’s Den State Park. Participan­ts will hike the Devil’s Den Trail, a moderate, kid-friendly 1.3 mile loop that features a waterfall and unusual rock formations.

At 2 p.m., participan­ts will gather in the St. Paul’s parking lot and carpool to Devil’s Den, with the hike planned to start around 3 p.m.

Wear comfortabl­e, weather appropriat­e clothing and bring along water and snacks. All are welcome. Leashed dogs are welcome too, as transporta­tion allows.

The Unitarian Universali­sts Fellowship in Fayettevil­le, 901 W. Cleveland St., presents “The Dance of the Universali­st Sufitarian” by Sura Gail Tala at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Sura is a Sufi and a Unitarian Universali­st. Her specialty is Sufi storytelli­ng, a time-honored approach to transmitti­ng the truths at the heart of the tradition. Adult and child religious education and meditation begin at 10 a.m. A nursery is available.

BENTON COUNTY

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., invites anyone to join the BVCC Prayer Shawl Ministry at 1 p.m. Nov. 21 in the meeting room to knit prayer shawls. No experience is required.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., invites all singers to join in the mass choir to sing Handel’s “Messiah.” Practice is on Saturdays at 10 a.m. at the church. The performanc­e is at 3 p.m. Dec. 8.

On Dec. 3 there will be a special worship service for those that are unable to attend a regular worship service. Following the service a lunch will be served. Anyone needing transporta­tion to this, or any other service, please contact the church office at 855-0272.

GriefShare meets on Thursdays at 3 p.m. in the church library. If you have recently lost a loved one, this is a support group for you.

Men’s Bible study meets on Mondays at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please park in the rear parking lot and enter the lower level.

The Thanksgivi­ng Day worship service is at 10 a.m. All are welcome.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. They are in need of cereal, fruit cocktail and regular and sugar-free gelatin. A container for your donations is in the church narthex.

First Baptist Church in Rogers, 3364 W. Pleasant Grove Road, offers free Thanksgivi­ng meals including ham, potatoes and gravy, green beans, a roll, dressing and dessert to the homebound and those in need inside the Rogers city limits.

Dinners will be delivered between 9 a.m. and noon Nov. 28.

First Presbyteri­an Church in Rogers, 1901 S. 26th St., hosts a potluck lunch featuring various kinds of pies at noon Sunday.

Bible studies are on Monday at 9 a.m. and Tuesday at 10 a.m. The men’s lunch group meets at noon Wednesday at various city restaurant­s.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts a Thanksgivi­ng meal following the morning service Sunday. There will be ham, turkey and all the trimmings. All are welcome to stay for this meal.

United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista, 100 Cooper Road, hosts the Psalm 19 Astronomy Club: Creation Stores in the Bible starting at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 17. The first session will be led by Fred Nelson. There will be a star party in the parking lot after the meeting.

The Thanksgivi­ng eve worship service and annual pie social begins at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 27. A sign-up sheet is in the narthex if you are willing and able to bring a pie to share. This event is free to the public; just RSVP with the church office.

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., opens the Oasis Food Pantry from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 20. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of friendly volunteers. At

6:30 p.m., there will be singing, devotions and prayer in the Worship Center. Infant and toddler nursery for kids is offered as well, and the community is always warmly welcomed.
