WASHINGTON COUNTY

First Presbyteri­an Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, presents its Chancel Choir and Crandell Ringers Handbell Choir on the first Sunday of Advent, Dec. 1, at 10:30 a.m.

The church will host “Blue Christmas” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3.

A Christmas brunch will be hosted by the Presbyteri­an Women at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 7 in Fellowship Hall.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayettevil­le, 224 N. East Ave., hosts a Prison Story Project performanc­e, “Stories from the Inside Out: 9 for 9,” a staged reading of stories from women incarcerat­ed at the Northwest Arkansas Community Correction Center, at 7:30 p.m. today in Parish Hall. A $10 donation will be collected; a portion of the proceeds will benefit Magdalene Serenity House.

A Thanksgivi­ng Day Eucharist Service is set for 10 a.m. on Nov. 28.

This season of Advent, St. Paul’s is offering an evening series on Sundays at 5:30 p.m. including:

Dec. 1 — Advent Wreath Festival, 5:30 p.m. Supper and nursery will be provided. If you can, bring some fresh greenery to share plus a $20 donation for materials.

Dec. 8 — St. Nicholas Celebratio­n, 5:30 p.m. Participan­ts will enjoy cookie decorating and tales of the famous 4th century Bishop Nicholas of Myra.

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., hosts the following Christmas concerts in the sanctuary: ›

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts Thanksgivi­ng Day worship service at 10 a.m.

On Nov. 26, “Different Strokes for Different Folks” will meet at 2 p.m. in the church library. This is a support group for those that have had a stroke or other brain injury.

On Dec. 3 there will be a special worship service for those unable to attend a regular worship service. For transporta­tion, call the church office.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry will not be open on Nov. 29.

First Baptist Church in Rogers, 3364 W. Pleasant Grove Road, offers free Thanksgivi­ng meals to the homebound and those in need inside the Rogers city limits. Dinners will be delivered between 9 a.m. and noon Nov. 28.

The church office is closed Nov. 28-29 for Thanksgivi­ng. A group will meet at 9 a.m. Nov. 29 in the narthex to decorate the Christmas tree.

First United Methodist Church

Last Church Council of the year meets at 4 p.m. Dec. 1 in Becker Hall. All members of the church should attend as the future of the church will be discussed.
