Restore honor to U.S.
I believe in forgiveness; I also believe in second chances. I applaud the commercial that showed ex-athletes that fell from grace but demonstrate redemption or a second chance.
However, I do not believe in second chances when it comes to our politicians. These are our elected officials who govern policies and set our affairs in order. Why no second chance for them? The risk is too high for all of us. We as voters want our politicians to represent all the people, not a special-interest group or self gain. I will forgive the transgression, but consequences must be applied or the perpetrators will repeat the offense again. The recent pardons show a total contempt for the law and demonstrate that if you are rich enough, you can get away with almost anything.
What will we tell our children in the future? Will we sign off on bad behavior? Is it OK to call an individual belittling names like a schoolyard bully just because you disagree with their views?
Our military advisers are wellversed in their particular field for the good of our country. It’s disheartening when the commander-in-chief disregards and rebukes his advisers in front of the whole world while on foreign soil. He admitted on nationwide TV that he believes the president of Russia over his senior intelligence officials. We all know Putin would never admit to campaign interference.
The smut monsters have taken over the swamp. Let try to restore some honor back to these United States of America.
