BELLA VISTA — Jack Tarter, 86, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away, Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Circle of Life, Legacy Village in Bentonvill­e, Ark. He was born Aug. 27, 1933, in Dry Prong, La., to Reginald and Vivian (Arrington) Tarter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Geraldine and Betty; and two grandsons, David and Doug Tarter.

Jack married his high school sweetheart in 1954, while both were college students. Together, they continued to work their way through college and both earned bachelor degrees. The marriage of 66 years produced four sons. He was a member of Village Baptist Church in Bella Vista.

He was a corporate tax accountant and worked his entire 39-year career with United Gas Corporatio­n and Southweste­rn Electric Power Company. He retired in 1994 as manager of tax and property accounting. He also retired from the U.S. Army Reserve as a LTC with 28 years of commission­ed service.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; four sons, Stan and wife, Barbara, Randy and wife, Joyce, Thomas and wife, Debbie and Joseph and wife, Emily; seven grandchild­ren; eight great-grandchild­ren; two great-great-grandsons; and one brother, Don.

He will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Fayettevil­le.

BENTONVILL­E — Elaine Casey, 79, of Bentonvill­e, died April 15, 2020.

Survivors are her husband of 59 years, Jerry Casey; a son, Eric Casey and wife, JoLynda of Springdale; a daughter, Denise Toavs and husband, Jonathan of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchild­ren; and one sibling.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — William Michael Brinkmeyer, 75, Fayettevil­le and formerly of Rogers, passed March 29. He was preceded by wife, Beverly; parents Raymond Brinkmeyer and Doris A. Kinnison and brother, Butch.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — JoAnn Danner, age 83, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020, in Fayettevil­le. She was born Oct. 26, 1936, in Fayettevil­le to Clarence and Viola (James) Rice.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Loy Joe Danner; and siblings, Gladys Clark, C.J. Rice, Wanda Mechsner, Betty Willis and Mabel Triska.

JoAnn was a longtime member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayettevil­le. She worked as a secretary for Fayettevil­le High School for many years and loved the students dearly. She loved sports, especially basketball. She liked to watch game shows and enjoyed her domino game nights with her friends. She had an intense sweet tooth and had a whole cabinet devoted to her treats that she enjoyed sharing with the people she loved. Above all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them whether it was during a home cooked meal or watching Family Feud.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Collyar and her husband Ritchey, and Tamra Melton and her husband Kerry; grandchild­ren, Cody Osbourn and wife Katelyn, Delaney Osbourn, Jaylen Melton, and Gerson Melton; and a great-grandchild; Sawyer Osbourn.

Due to the current circumstan­ces, a memorial service will be scheduled later. Interment will take place at Fairview Memorial Gardens under the director of Moore’s Funeral Chapel.

PEA RIDGE — Patricia Mae Musteen, 90, of Pea Ridge, died April 16, 2020, at Magnolia Place in Rogers. She was born Oct. 20, 1929, in Garfield, Ark., to John Chesley Mitchell and Oma Alice Widders Mitchell.

She enjoyed watching Razorback sports, she was a Sunday school teacher for many years, a daily devotional reader and a prayer warrior, she liked to flower garden and loved magnolias, she especially enjoyed planning scavenger hunts for her grandkids.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rogers and is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Margie Ford; a son, David Musteen; a brother, Byron Mitchell; three sisters, Eufaula Abbott, Doris Walker and Virgie Hazelton.

Survivors are a daughter, Debbie Phillips and husband David of Pea Ridge; four grandchild­ren, Leisa Still of Seligman, Mo., Stephanie Dohse and husband Jim of Bella Vista, Nathan Musteen and wife Anita of Raymore, Mo., Mitzi Horn and husband Zach of Pea Ridge; nine great-grandchild­ren.

A private family graveside will be held Monday, April 20 at Pea Ridge Cemetery. No visitation. A public celebratio­n of life will be held at a later date. Arrangemen­ts are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

ROGERS — Kelly Lyn Hauser, 54, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, in Rogers, Ark. She was born on June 17, 1965, in Springdale, Ark., to Bob and Jean (Ware) Franklin.

She was a graduate of Rogers High School. Kelly married Mark Hauser on Dec. 30, 1993, in Wellington, New Zealand. She worked as an auditor at PRG for 11 years and was also an accountant for the Teen Action Support Center in Rogers.

Kelly’s love for life shined through her smile and how she treated others. She was an active member of the Central United Methodist Church and TASC supporter. She loved playing tennis and her newest passion — Pickleball. Kelly also enjoyed working in her yard landscapin­g or gardening.

She is survived by her parents of Rogers; husband, of Rogers; son, Brett Hauser of Oklahoma; daughter, Taylor Hauser of Rogers; brother, Steve (Kathie) Franklin of Rogers; sister, Stacey (Mike) Jones of North Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one nephew (Matthew Jones).

Kelly’s family will hold a Celebratio­n of Life at a date to be announced later once the limitation­s on gatherings have subsided.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to Teen Action Support Center or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

ROGERS — Karen Lee Sykes of Rogers, Ark., passed away in the company of loved ones on April 8, 2020 at the age of 57.

She grew up in El Dorado, Ark., and was a 1980 graduate of El Dorado High School. She earned a B.S. degree from Louisiana Tech University where she was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority.

Karen spent her entire career supporting students with academic difficulti­es. She would tell her students that she understood, firsthand, the struggles of learning difference­s. Karen taught, mentored, and motivated countless students in Little Rock, Eureka Springs, and Northwest Arkansas. She establishe­d Academic Math and Language Therapy and served students from ages 6-80. She loved each and every student.

Karen had a gift of bringing people together. She had a multitude of friends to whom her home was always open. Karen’s love and light made her friends feel like family.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Kathryn Sykes.

She was a lifelong member of the Second Baptist Church of El Dorado, where she and her father were baptized together.

Karen is survived by her cousins, Kay (Gary) Ketchum of Kilgore, Texas, Roger (Jeannie) Walker of Fairhope, Ala., Ernie Paul, of Longview, Texas; and her very precious dog, Bentley.

SPRINGDALE — Kyle Matthew Berry passed away Friday, April 17 in Springdale, Ark. He was born March 18, 1978, in Greenville, S.C., the son of Judi Walker and James Berry. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived and will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Shawna McFatrich (Larry) and the lights of his life, nephew Aiden and niece Emerie, all of Farmington, Ark.; his brother, Austin Berry-Morris(Alma) of Bella Vista; his uncle, Renny Berry of Tulsa, Okla.; stepmother, Robin Morris(David) and stepbrothe­rs, Carlin and Dustin of Jay, Okla., and stepfather­s, Steve Alexander and Johnny Walker of Fayettevil­le; a stepsister, Sacha Walker of Chicago, Ill.; his beloved dog, Haya and numerous other family members.

We will remember Kyle for his kind giving heart, and for the selfless love, he showed his family. He had a childlike heart who wanted to see the best in everybody.

SPRINGDALE — Suzanne Elaine NeSmith, 47, went to her eternal home with the Lord on April 15, 2020. Suzi was born Feb. 16, 1973, in Newport Beach, Calif., to Bob and Linda NeSmith.

She moved to Springdale from California two years ago and resided with her parents.

Suzi graduated from Capistrano High School in Mission

Viejo, Calif., in 1990. She worked a variety of jobs in the automotive industry in customer service as an estimator. Suzi loved animals and raised two cockatiels from birth. Most recently she tamed a feral cat that now enjoys a lifetime of luxury. Suzi had a passion for photograph­ing the beautiful sunsets, sunrises and countrysid­e of Northwest Arkansas and its deer population. Suzi was also an avid vintage car enthusiast and frequented every car show in the area.

Suzi is survived by her parents, Bob and Linda NeSmith of Springdale; brother, Andrew and wife Lori NeSmith also of Springdale; aunt, Marianne Matthews and husband Bob of Huntington Beach, Calif., and aunt, Rosemary Adamek of Glassboro, N.J.; and uncle, Ric Dunkle and wife Sandy of Winchester, Va.

Suzi will be sorely missed by her loving family and many friends scattered all over this beautiful country. The family wants to express its gratitude to all of the staff at Highlands Oncology in Fayettevil­le as well as the doctors and nurses at Washington Regional Hospital who provided loving care.

SPRINGDALE — Daryl Scott Price, 78, of Springdale, died Saturday, April 11, 2020. He was born July 20, 1941, in Fayettevil­le, to Scott Mitchell and Bessie Ramona Gilmore Price.

Daryl was an avid fisherman and participat­ed in many bass tournament­s over the years. He was a multi-instrument­alist, playing guitar, piano, bass, and fiddle throughout a long career which included touring with Roy Clark. Daryl also collected Civil War memorabili­a.

Daryl is survived by his loving wife, Eva Catherine; two sons, Sterling Scott Price and wife Teddie of Bentonvill­e, and Mark Russell Price of Tulsa, Okla.; one brother, Duane Carlton Price and wife Sue of Pineville; five grandchild­ren, Abigail, Sarah, Logan, Carter, and Devin; and two great-grandchild­ren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Melody Lynn Hale.

WEST FORK — William ‘Sonny’ Bryant McDaniel Jr., age 57, of West Fork, died Thursday, April 16, 2020. Sonny was born Aug. 28, 1962, in Belleville, Ill., to William Bryant McDaniel Sr. and Merilyn Kay East McDaniel. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward McDaniel.

Sonny is survived by son, Shane Ryan McDaniel (Sarah); sister, Leslie Tabor (David); a nephew, Adam Tabor; two grandchild­ren, Emma and Noah.
