FARMINGTON — Robert Dale ‘Bob’ Taylor, 89, of Farmington, Ark., passed from this earth into the Arms of Jesus on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at his home. Mr. Taylor was born in Tate, Ark., on May 7, 1930, to Thomas Elijah and Maude Tucker Taylor. Bob’s beloved wife Beulah Fern (Ball) Taylor preceded him in death May 12, 2019. Their marriage was blessed with 61 years of love.

Mr. Taylor is survived by son Robert Dale Taylor; and grandsons Derek Dale Taylor of Farmington, Brent Nicolas Taylor of Springfield, Tenn., and Kody Tristan Taylor of Smyrna, Ga.

Mr. Taylor is predeceased by his parents, sister Pansy Plummer of Waldron Ark., and brothers which include Henry Taylor who passed in WWII in France, Glen Taylor, Springdale, Ark., and Wendell Taylor of Rockdale, Texas.

Bob Taylor lived his life with fervor and goodwill. He went after everything he did determined to work hard, take care of his family and serve the Lord. He had a scripture ready anytime.

He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1948. Bob attended the University of Arkansas for a short time. Then he joined the Army and was flown to Seattle, Wash. From there he was shipped to the Korean Conflict on the 38th Parallel. He saw things that would affect him his entire life. There is no atheist in the foxhole he would say many times.

Bob Taylor worked for College Club Diary early on. Then went on to work for Ozarks Electric in Fayetteville for over 30 years and retired from there. He loved his job and the people he worked with. Wherever Bob was there was fun along with the work.

Bob attended church at Mount Vernon Missionary Church. His Elder Tom Lundstrum was a blessed friend as well as scholar of the Bible. Bob’s church family meant the world to him. He and Fern brought the Bible study to their home on Wednesday nights. Bob and Fern were a power couple because they worshipped the Lord together.

Mr. Taylor will be buried next to the love of his life, Fern, in Mount Comfort Cemetery, Fayetteville by Beard’s Funeral Chapel. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Mount Vernon Missionary Church, 1355 Elm Springs Road, Springdale, Ark., 72762. Condolences at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com.

GRAVETTE — Clyde Doyle Garrett went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, April 27, 2020, at his home in Gravette, Ark. He was born Aug. 6, 1954, in Ponca City, Okla., to Sterlin and Della Garrett of Ponca City, and was preceded in death by his father and first wife LuAnn.

Clyde was called into the ministry as a teenager, ordained at Hickory Creek Baptist Church in November 2007 and graduated from Liberty University in December

2008.

Clyde was the pastor of First Baptist Church Hiwasse from June 28, 2009, until his death, following an assistant pastor position at Hickory Creek Baptist. Clyde served as head deacon for Sunset Baptist in Ponca City and filled many positions there in his service for the Lord. He dearly loved his congregation, considered them family and counted it a blessing to Pastor.

Clyde owned and operated Weathertite Seamless Guttering for many years in Ponca City and owned Clyde’s Carpentry Practice in Northwest Arkansas, building new homes for many years as well. Clyde “really liked” his dog Bernie and enjoyed riding his Harley throughout the Ozarks.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Cheryl; his girls Alexandria and Adrienne of the home; son Keith Garrett of Powell, Mo.; mother Della Garrett; brother Clifford Garrett and wife Toni of Grove, Okla.; and his beloved “cousins.”

“Well, Heaven became more real last night as my friend Clyde Garrett of Northwest Arkansas entered the pearly gates.

“He was welcomed by a great host of friends and family. The best part is that he was healed of cancer, pain and suffering.

“I am certain that as he spoke to those who met him at the gate that he asked where is my Jesus?

“I want to see Jesus! “And he was ushered directly into the very presence of our Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ.

“He is now at peace and will be there to welcome us who know Jesus as our Lord and Savior!

“Please remember to pray for his wife and family as they carry on with life until Jesus calls us home.

“Clyde will be greatly missed but his spirit will live on as we remember him and what he stood for, faith, family, and friends.

“This is not goodbye but it is see you in the morning when Christ calls us home. Blessings to the family.”
