FAYETTEVILLE — Kenan Alijuan (Kay Kay) Scales, age 23, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020, in Fayetteville. He was born Dec. 27, 1996, in Jonesboro, Ark., to Sheila Scales and Corey Prunty.

Kay Kay was a 2014 graduate of Fayetteville High School. In high school, he made many friends that he still kept in contact with over the years. Many of these friends would describe him as loyal, laid back, and the class clown.

To know Kay Kay was joy and he will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the type of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, brother, uncle, or friend. Kay Kay was a genuine, kindhearted individual that loved to be around people. He cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with his young nephews that he loved like his own.

Throughout his life, Kay Kay was an avid sports fan and took up a love of the game of basketball at an early age. He was very talented at football and was well-know for his abilities on the field in his younger years. Kay Kay was also a lifelong, die hard Dallas Cowboys fan.

Kenan leaves to celebrate his memory his mother, Sheila Scales; sisters Deneshia Taylor and husband Andre and Kandice Scales; nephews Ke-Antre Taylor, Alijah Taylor, Legend Scales and Khylan Scales; and a host of close relatives and friends.
