GRAVETTE — Stephen Dale Douglas

passed away on June 19, 2020, at home after a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 27, 1950, in Gravette, Ark., (Benton County) to Gene L. Douglas and ImoJean Duncan Douglas.

He is predecease­d in death by his parents; grandparen­ts, Paul Oliver and Ella Matt Callis Douglas and Willie and Ruth Duncan; daughter, Charity Taylor; wives, Michelle Douglas and Lorraine Douglas.

He is survived by wife, Penny; sister, Brenda L. Herbaugh; brothers, David E. Douglas and Ronald A. Douglas; daughters, Missy, Angela and Rebecca; son, Shane and wife, Judi Douglas; grandsons, Stephen, Ray, Alex and Wesley; franddaugh­ters, Destanie and husband, Michael Denny and Kayla; sons-in-law, Vince Waller and Mike Weiher and granddaugh­ters, Newnayely and Serenity.

Stephen grew up on the family farm west of Centerton and attended school in Bentonvill­e, Ark., through the ninth grade after which he lived and attended school in Johnstown, N.Y. He worked for a time at Union Carbide. He was a long-distance truck driver for many years. He later became a Benton County Road Supervisor and retired in 2012. His family will miss him very much.

Outside memorial will be held on Wednesday, June 24, at 1 p.m., at the old Gene Douglas homestead 3/8 mile North on Fishback from Mt. Olive Road.
