Annie Kanitz, RN, recently joined the trauma team at Northwest Health serving as the trauma coordinator at Northwest Medical CenterSpringdale. She also provides oversight of the Northwest Health Simulation Lab. Kanitz earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Arkansas State University in Newport.
Kenneth Tonymon, MD, board certified neurosurgeon, recently joined the staff of the Neurosurgery Center at Northwest Health located at 601 W. Maple Ave., Suite 505 in Springdale. He focuses on prevention, diagnosis and surgical treatment of disorders which affect any portion of the nervous system. Tonymon earned his degree and completed residencies in both general surgery and neurosurgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
Johanna Soderstrom has been named executive vice
president and chief human resources officer for Tyson Foods. She holds a master’s in economics from the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, Finland, as well as the Society for Human Resource Management senior certified professional credential.
Angie Cooper has taken on the role of chief program officer for Heartland Forward of Bentonville. She assumes this role in addition to executive director of Heartland Summit, the flagship event of Heartland Forward. Heartland Forward aims to transfer applied research into policy actions at the state, regional and local levels.
