BELLA VISTA — Iva Lee McCarroll Douglas

passed away July 11, 2020, at age 91. She was born in Paragould, Ark., to Charlie Lee and Flora Belle Adams on Dec. 19, 1928.

She had seven brothers and sisters: Tom, Emma, Bob, Dorothy Vila, Barbara, and Linda. She married Lawrence RV McCarroll on Oct. 2, 1948, in Paragould and they had three children. They lived in Searcy, Stuttgart, Bentonvill­e and retired in Bella Vista.

She was an avid reader, golfer, gardener, crafter and loved to attend and watch Razorback basketball games. She served on the First National Bank Advisory Board in 1989 and became a member of the board of directors in 1990. She was a long time member of the Bentonvill­e Garden Club. Following the death of her first husband in 1985, she remarried 10 years later to Charles Douglas. They traveled to many locations and spent many winters golfing in Florida. She was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, second husband, brothers Tom Adams and Bob Adams and sisters Emma Wiggington Elliott, Dorothy Gumulinski and Barbara Butler Wagnor.

She is survived by her children, Danny and Jackie McCarroll of Greenwood, Ark., Phil and Vanessa McCarroll of Fleming Island, Fla., and Suzanne and Jim Grider of Bentonvill­e; grandchild­ren Jennifer and David Johnson (Owen) of Desoto, Kan., Sarah and Jimmy Holloway, (Ethan and Hannah) of Bella Vista, Ashley and Rob Woodhull (Natalie) of Hackett, Ark., and Cara Corder, (Julian and Blaine) of Little Rock; and sisters Vila Irwin of Flint, Mich., and Linda and Doug Piar of Montrose, Mich.

Iva Lee will be missed by her family, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Due to the current pandemic there will not be a visitation or memorial service. Burial will be in Paragould.
